Microsoft revealed a new milestone for its Windows Insider program in a video that's primarily to help support the second annual ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Windows and Devices division head Terry Myerson confirmed that there are six million members of the program that are signed up to test preview releases of Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile.

Myerson challenged all those members to participate in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, which is designed to raise both awareness and donations to help support research for defeating amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Myerson and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella had cold water poured on them in this new video by members of the Windows team, after Nadella was challenged once again by former NFL player Steve Gleason, who suffers from ALS.
