Following up on a similar update to Groove Music over the weekend, the Movies & TV app is getting a taste of Project NEON for members of the Windows Insider program. An update available now for Fast ring users brings a smattering of the new design language that is expected to make its way to Windows 10 in force with the next big Windows 10 release, Redstone 3.

Movies & TV gets a taste of Project NEON in update for Fast ring Insiders

In the example above, you can now see a blurring effect and slight transparency on the title bar of the Movies & TV windows. It's definitely pretty subtle, but it's part of an overall aesthetic mix of blur and transparency that Project NEON will bring to the table across Windows 10. There don't appear to be any other tweaks for the moment, but we're bound to see more NEON seep its way in as we move towards Redstone 3.

Microsoft is working on a new design language for Windows 10 codenamed Project NEON

If you're on the Windows Insider Fast ring, you should be able to grab this update now with version 10.17032.1020.0. While Insiders testing out new UI tweaks is a normal state of affairs, it's not clear if this particular change will make it to production for those on the Creators Update, or if Microsoft will hold it back in anticipation of a full Project NEON overhaul for its system apps at a later point.
