New Xbox One Experience

Microsoft is still on track to release its big New Xbox One Experience update in November to all Xbox One console owners. This week, the company sent out messages to all members of its Xbox preview program, informing them they will soon be getting the New Xbox One Experience update, even if they previously chose not to receive it in its early testing stages.

Microsoft started offering the update as an option to preview members in September, in case some of them didn't want to deal with early bugs. This week's message indicates that option will soon be closed.

The New Xbox One Experience (NXOE) is on the horizon! In preparation, we'll soon begin moving all Preview consoles over to the NXOE. If you do not wish to move, please opt out of Preview from the Registration tile in the Xbox Preview Dashboard app."

Among other things, the update will include a new dashboard based on Windows 10, along with adding backwards compatibility with a number of older Xbox 360 games.
