Ever since No Man's Sky was announced for Xbox One, gamers have been clamoring for footage from the console. According to various sources, there's a strict embargo of July 24, 2018 — when the game launches — and it's impossible to find footage. Luckily, that changed a few hours ago because a YouTuber by the name of "Architect" posted a video recorded from the console. No Man's Sky looks like a smooth experience on the system and should be even better on Microsoft's upgraded console.

It's unclear what resolution the game runs at on the standard Xbox One because the video was recorded at 720p, but we know that it's "4K Ultra HD" on Xbox One X. The video focuses on the third-person mode, exploring a gorgeous planet, flying through space, and then customizing your look at a space station. You can really tell that the visuals have been massively upgraded because the textures look amazing and the colors pop.

No Man's Sky is a science fiction adventure set across an infinite universe, in which every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. In this procedurally-generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other player has seen before. However, a mystery lies at the center of the galaxy, an irresistible pulse that draws you on a voyage to discover the true nature of the universe.

505 Games is only publishing the physical version for Xbox One and Hello Games is going through the ID@Xbox program to launch the digital edition. Luckily, the preorder bonuses are the same for both versions.
