No new Windows 10 Insider builds this week, says Windows Insider chief

As was the case last week, it was started to look like Windows 10 Insiders would get their hands on a new build before the week was out. Plans do change, however, and Windows Insider chief Dona Sarkar has provided an update on Twitter, noting that the team still has some work to do and we'll learn more next week.

The last Fast ring build to roll out was build 17046, which landed on three weeks ago on November 22. That's a lengthy bit of time for those used to the pace of the Fast ring, but these things occasionally happen with new builds. Once the next build does land, however, it's sounds like it'll be a doozy. Sarkar noted earlier this week that the blog post for the next release is already up to 25 pages, meaning we're in for a lengthy list of new features to start testing.

The holiday season is in full swing, so it'll be interesting to see if a new build arrives before the new year. In 2016, the Insider team took a well-deserved break from shipping around this time in December, but it's unclear if or when we'll see a similar gap for 2017.
