AT&T Nokia Lumia 900 Windows Phone

Update 2:30PM EST: Online orders are now live

The highly anticipated Nokia Lumia 900 is due to hit store shelves over at AT&T on April 9th (unless your local store is open on Easter and it will be the 8th) and was slated to be available for pre-order today. But in looking at AT&T's website and reading comments in the WPCentral forums, online pre-ordering isn't an option right now.

We have read of success stories from those who pre-ordered in stores and by calling AT&T's Customer Service (1-888-333-6651). But even then the pre-ordering wasn't as smooth as expected.

WPCentral reader ganks was told the estimated arrival date for the Lumia 900 was 2-3 weeks but then received a confirmation email stating the Lumia 900 would ship in 3-5 days. outofelement shared via the WPCentral Tip Line that he was told by AT&T Customer Service that pre-ordering was only available in-store. Finally, with regards to online pre-orders, tjwheels was informed by AT&T Premiere Service that online pre-ordering would be available after 3pm today (CST?).

I called the local AT&T store to get a feel for the local conditions. While the AT&T Sales Rep had to be reminded that AT&T was carrying the Lumia 900, he found it in the computer and said delivery was expected on April 9th for in-store pick-up. I asked about home delivery and he wasn't sure if it would arrive sooner or later than in-store pick-up.

While it may not be the smoothest pre-order campaign around, it does appear that readers have successfully pre-ordered their AT&T Lumia 900.  Most of the success has come from in-store orders and if we get any information on online pre-orders, we'll pass it on.

In the meantime, feel free to share you Lumia 900 pre-order experiences in the comments.
