Insiders on the Fast ring are getting access to some nifty new features in Skype Preview for Windows 10 devices. As announced on the Skype blog, users will be able to check out real-time translations during mobile and landline calls, video messages, marking conversations read or unread, and much more.

Skype Preview Translator

To get started with Skype Translator in a call, you'll need to make sure you have Skype Credit or a subscription. If you do, you can select the Skype Translator option next to the dialer's call button to bring up Translator's settings. Just pick your languages and then place the call. At the moment, Skype says that the Translator feature only supports English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese (Mandarin), Italian, Portuguese (Brazilian), Arabic, and Russian.

Aside from the new Translator feature, here's the full look at what's new:

  • Introduce friends and family on Skype by sharing their Skype contact details
  • Capture and share video messages with friends and family on Skype—even if they're not online
  • Manage your conversations and save time by marking conversations as read or unread
  • Don't miss another call by forwarding them to a mobile or landline

If you're a Fast ring Insider, you should be able to grab Skype Preview version right now to check out these features. If you've already had time to try it out, let us know what you think in the comments!
