Spotify users on Windows Phone should see a new update today for the streaming music service. However, the new version is a minor update for bug fixes and performance improvements.

The update brings the version number up to Spotify's store page says only that the update has bug fixes related to performance along with some UI issues. Earlier today, Spotify stated that earlier reports claiming it was ending support for its Windows Phone app, based on what a company customer rep told a Spotify user, were in fact incorrect.

It should be noted that today's update did not mention anything about improvements for Windows 10 Mobile users. The Spotify app can be run on Windows 10 Mobile, but it was not developed specifically for the OS.
