Stanley Cup

The 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs are right around the corner and many will be turning to their Windows 10 PC or Mobile devices to keep up with all the action on the ice.

While the Windows Store has plenty of sports related apps, the hockey offerings are rather slim. For the hockey fan, this can be a little frustrating and a clear sign of the dreaded app gap. There are several highly-rated air hockey games in the Windows Store, but something tells me those won't fill the gap where hockey coverage is concerned.

ESPN App

You can check in on the scores with the likes of Sofa Score or the ESPN App but there isn't an official NHL app available.

Then there's streaming sporting events through WatchESPN, but the Stanley Cup Playoffs are being carried by NBC. The NBC Sports App is available for Windows 10 PC and Mobile, but it suffers from stability issues that could create more frustration than enjoyment.

You can always point your browser to NBC Sports to catch all the action, but for all the hockey fans in the room, what's your best Windows 10 option to follow the NHL with? Head over to this Windows Central forum's discussion to share your thoughts and offer a shout out to your favorite NHL team.
