Surface 3 goes up for pre-order from Amazon and Best Buy

Anxious to get your hands on the newly-announced Surface 3? Well you can now go ahead and pre-order the device from both Best Buy and Amazon ahead of its May 5 release date.

To recap, Microsoft pulled the curtain off of the new Surface 3 yesterday, revealing a 10.8-inch tablet that runs Windows 8.1 on an Intel Quad-core Atom x7 1.6GHz processor. Additionally, the device packs an 8MP rear camera and a 3.5MP front shooter, a USB 3.0 port, a Mini DisplayPort, and a microSD card reader. As an added bonus, all Surface 3 tablets will include a one-year subscription to Office 365.

While the Surface 3 will eventually be offered in LTE models, Amazon and Best Buy are only offering the WiFi-only models which come in at $499 for the low-end model, which sports 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and $599 for the high-end model, which comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
