We’ll probably see official Google apps like YouTube, Hangouts and others once hell freezes over. Until then we have some solid third-party apps in the Windows Phone Store. For YouTube we’ve been rocking myTube and Metrotube for quite some time. Toib is a brand new YouTube app in the Windows Phone Store. You probably joined the beta earlier this month when developer Daniel Berg (@bergdaniel) opened it up to the public. Today that app is now available to download. Let’s check out toib for Windows Phone.

The day we get a good official YouTube app for Windows Phone is the day pigs fly. In the meantime we rely on solid third-party apps like myTube and Metrotube. You’ll be able to add another app to that list very soon. Toib is an upcoming application for YouTube that’s currently in beta. You can join that beta and you really should. It’s a great app with a lot of potential. Variety is the spice of life after all.

The Windows Phone community is a pretty incredible place. Third party developers have constantly stepped up to the plate when an official app doesn’t exist on the platform or the current app is lackluster. Case in point, Phonly is an excellent app for users who want to get Feedly on Windows Phone. Solid performance meets a gorgeous UI in Phonly. The app also just received an update, so let’s dive into what’s new with it.

Windows Phone has been out for nearly three years, but there are still a handful of apps and services missing in the Store, at least in official form. Thankfully, we’ve got a strong community of devoted developers who take time to make a strong offering in the form of a third-party or alternative app. Phonly is an upcoming app on Windows Phone that will be a Feedly app on Windows Phone. Even though CrossFit has been around since the mid-90s, it seems to have really taken off in popularity the past few years. CrossFit is an excersice program that has spawned a new definition of what being healthy and fit means to a lot of people. There are numerous gyms affiliated with across the globe, but workouts can just as easily be completed daily for those without access to a gym. The community has a daily workout, appropriate called “Workouts of the Day” which most people abbreviate to WOD.

For CrossFitters that use Windows Phone, Wodhalla is a new app for Windows Phone 8 that is aimed squarely at the CrossFit community.
