CES 2016 Windows Podcast Spectacular!

There's no other way to put it: Windows was all over the place at this year's CES show in Las Vegas. And we've got a podcast wrapping it all up.

Catch Richard talking Microsoft, MWC and racing on the latest episode of The Tech Informist

The Tech Informist is a great, yet still relatively new tech podcast hosted by Kevin Harvell and JJ Hammond that's boasted such great guests in the past as Mary Jo Foley, Paul Thurrott, and our own Daniel Rubino. On the latest episode they went for a more international flavor and invited our Managing Editor, Richard Devine, to join them to talk about Microsoft, Mobile World Congress and even racing!

Windows Central Podcast: Live in Las Vegas!

The rumors were true, the Windows Central podcast made a triumphant return at CES 2015! Or more technically, the Windows Central Podcast debuted with episode 1, or something, since we've not got together since the site rebrand.

Either way, we were in Las Vegas, we had a bunch of cool cameras and a stage, so broke out the podcast.

Get ready, there's a Windows Central podcast in Las Vegas at 5.15 p.m. PT!

Something incredible is headed your way today. Live in Las Vegas, the Windows Central podcast is making a triumphant return! At 5.15 p.m. today PT – that's 8.15 p.m. ET, 1.15 a.m. GMT – Daniel Rubino and myself will be hopping on to the CES Live stage where we'll be joined by special guest, Myriam Joire.

Listen to Daniel Rubino talk Windows 10, WPCentral and more on the latest episode of The Tech Informist

The Tech Informist is a relatively new podcast that focuses on tech news with informative guests. Mary Jo Foley was their first guest on episode one, and now our very own Daniel Rubino sat down for the sixth episode. Listen (or watch) as Daniel talks Windows 10, WPCentral and more with co-hosts JJ Hammond and Kevin Harvell.

Hands on with the new podcast app for Windows Phone 8.1

Windows Phone has always had podcast support integrated into the OS. But now it’s getting decoupled from the core OS and will live on as a separate app. The benefit is that Microsoft can now create a richer podcast experience on Windows Phone without needing to update the operating system. All that’s needed now is an update to an app.

Let’s check out podcasts on Windows Phone 8.1.

Go beyond the native podcast support in Windows Phone with Podcast Critter

Native podcast integration with Windows Phone 8 is decent, but leaves a lot to be desired. Which is probably why Microsoft is releasing a standalone podcast app from Bing in Windows Phone 8.1. It’s also why we use and recommend apps like BringCast, Podcasts! and Podcast Lounge. Today we’re checking out another podcast application for Windows Phone called Podcast Critter. Let’s check it out.

Is 'Podcasts!' the best podcasting app for Windows 8? Our readers discuss

Once again, we travel to the Windows Phone Central forums to help a reader in need. This week, we are looking at a question by SocalTouch, who just purchased his Dell Venue 8 Pro. SocalTouch wants to know what the “best” podcast application for Windows 8 is. Let us see if we can help him out!

Before everyone screams out the Zune desktop application (because we know it is a favorite of many), let us note that our reader is looking for a Windows 8 application – something that is touch friend for his 8-inch Dell tablet, so think apps from the Windows Store.
