TM13

Most of you were unable to come to our swinging, swanky, super special launch party for Talk Mobile 2013 that happened exactly one week ago tonight. Because of that, we’ve recapped the event for you some super delicious HD video.

All in all, we had 680 of you phone geeks come out for our 3 hour rager. Truth be told, this was one of those events that could have gone either way: lots of fun with free alcohol and kicking music, or a bunch of dudes hanging around, awkwardly looking at their phone screens. Luckily for us, it was most definitely the former as the party was quite spectacular.

In addition to being available right here on Windows Phone Central, now you can also catch up on all the Talk Mobile roundtable videos via your subscription services!

The roundtable videos are the ones where Phil Nickinson of Android Central, Kevin Michaluk of CrackBerry, Daniel Rubino of Windows Phone Central, and yours truly, Rene Ritchie of iMore get together and, moderated by Cali Lewis and John P. of GeekBeat.TV, start the conversation about the issues in mobile that matter the most.

The videos will enter the feeds shortly after they go up in flashy new super features. Of course, we'd love for you to watch them right then, on the page and in proper context, along with all the supporting articles and videos. But, if you're on the go and need your quick fix, or at home with your feet up looking for a stream, we want you to have that option too!

So here they are! Subscribe now and leave a rating, it'll help us get featured and that means we'll all have the chance to continue the conversations with more awesome people just like you!

We’ve teased it for weeks but now it’s time to unveil what all that ‘TM13’ business was that was such a big secret. TM13 stands for Talk Mobile 2013 and it’s our new program that will elevate the discussion of mobile beyond just platforms and who is better than whom.

The event is based off of our Round Robin program, which we did years ago. That event involved all of the head editors trading phones for a week and then reviewing the experience. While fun, that was a 2008 thing and this is 2013: all the platforms have basically caught up to each other and have become outstanding options. No longer does one dominate the conversation and neither will it here.

Talk Mobile isn't a one day event. It's a discussion that will carry on across Windows Phone Central, CrackBerry, Android Central, and iMore for the next several months. We've picked 10 important topics in mobile and cooked up a whopping 50 Talk Mobile features that we'll be publishing across the sites that are going to spark a lot of conversation.

Long time readers of any and all of our Mobile Nations sites will remember the Smartphone Round Robin. It was a cross-site editorial event where we took a break from our regular day to day beat, swapped phones, and sounded off on the competition in an unbiased fashion.

It was a great event, we loved it, you loved it, and you've been bugging us literally daily to do it up again. And we have been listening. It's coming. And soon! We have re-envisioned the event, bigger and better and more suitable to the state of mobile in 2013, and we're going beyond our in-house team this time around. Hit up the video above to get a gander at our awesome hosts! :)
