New HTC One W8 image shows up on Telfort's homepage, hints at global release

Just a few days after a render of the still unannounced HTC One W8 was discovered on the Verizon Wireless web servers, another small image of the Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone has showed up again, this time in plain view on the front page of a Dutch website.

The image can be found on the site of the Telfort phone company, on the left hand side and partially obscured by other phones. It's the latest evidence that HTC is planning to launch a version of its HTC One phone (originally released for Android) with the Windows Phone operating system.

As we have reported before, our sources have told us that HTC plans to launch the phone on August 21 in the US as a Verizon Wireless exclusive. The image on Telfort may or may not confirm that the phone will make its way to Europe at some point. Recently, the One W8 made its way through the GSM Global Certification Forum with European LTE Bands 7 and 13, giving more credence to the idea that this phone is going global.

HTC is holding a press event in New York City on August 19 and its highly likely that the company will officially reveal the HTC One W8 at that event. Windows Phone Central is going to be there live to cover it, so stay tuned!

Thanks to Niels for the tip!
