Ubisoft confirms it has 5 games in development for Xbox Scarlett

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot revealed during the company's latest earnings call that it has 5 games in development for the next Xbox and PlayStation consoles (via Game Informer). This comes just a week after Watch Dogs: Legion, Rainbow Six: Quarantine, and Gods & Monsters were all delayed. The three aforementioned games will be cross-generational, along with two other unannounced games.

"The five titles, yes, they will be on this generation and the next generation, and they will take full advantage all the new features that are coming with the machines, which are actually going to be extremely interesting for players," Guillemot said. "You will be able to download new content a lot faster, players will experience better framerates there are lots of very good elements that will come with these new machines."

The next Assassin's Creed is likely in development for Xbox Scarlett, though nothing has been confirmed as of yet. Another fan-favorite would be a new Splinter Cell game, but nothing has come to fruition despite multiple rumors.

Microsoft plans to release the next Xbox, codenamed Project Scarlett, in Holiday 2020. Sony will be releasing the PlayStation 5 at this time as well.
