Japan-based VAIO will reportedly reveal concrete details on its first Windows 10 Mobile smartphone at a press event on Thursday, Feb. 4. This will be the first such device for the company that's best known for its thin-and-light laptops.

VAIO, which spun off from Sony in 2015, first revealed its plans to launch a Windows 10 Mobile phone during a Microsoft press conference in October. Details were scarce, but VAIO did say its phone would support Windows 10 Mobile's Continuum feature that will allow it to be hooked up to a big monitor, keyboard and mouse so it can be used essentially as a desktop PC.
