Windows 10 build 17133.1004 for HoloLens rolling out for Insiders

Last week, Microsoft rolled out the first preview build of Redstone 4 for the HoloLens, which hadn't received any major new version of Windows 10 since the Anniversary Update. That initial RS4 build can only be installed if you flash your HoloLens with an FFU that Microsoft has provided, which would bring you up to build 17123. Today, Microsoft is rolling out the RS4 RTM build 17133 to Insiders running HoloLens RS4.

Unlike build 17123, which required flashing an FFU onto a HoloLens to get it, build 17133 is rolling out like a normal update via Windows Update, meaning those on RS4 can grab it and install it without having to wipe their HoloLens first. Build 17133 is only available for those already running build 17123, so if you're still on build 14393, you'll need to flash the 17123 FFU onto your HoloLens first before you can acquire the RS4 RTM.

Changelog for this build{.nofollow} is pretty short, likely because build 17123 is the one that brought all the new features. 17133 is more of a bug fix and last minute clean-up build.

  • Fixes for speech reliability and overall reliability of the product.
  • Known issue: Users may experience reliability issues with using voice to place Skype calls or launch apps for the first time.

Are you using HoloLens with Redstone 4? How are you liking the improvements? Let us know in the comments!
