Microsoft just announced Windows 10, the next version of Windows, early this morning. Today's event was more focused on enterprise features. Microsoft plans to talk about the consumer angle of Windows 10 in early 2015. Microsoft has also announced a new Build developer conference in April and that Windows 10 will be available in mid-2015.

New information on Universal Apps wasn't discussed today, instead Microsoft is saving that for the Build 2015 conference. No firm date or location announced yet, but we'll let you know when it happens.

We're hoping the changes to Universal Apps will make it easier to create apps and games for phone, tablet, PC and TV.

Microsoft didn't share any details on the pricing and availability of Windows 10 itself. Just that it'll be available mid-next year.
