WolframAlpha for Windows 8.1

Early this morning, WolframAlpha launched on Windows Phone 8.1 for $2.99. As many of you noticed, the Store listing showed it as being available for Windows as well. At the time, tracking down the Windows Store link was a bit tough, but later on it became available.

We are also happy to report that this fits in with the universal apps model that Microsoft is putting forth with its Windows 10 vision. So although the app is still $2.99, that cost covers both Windows and Windows Phone versions of the app. We just purchased the Windows 8.1 app, and when we went to 'buy' the Windows Phone one, we were informed we had already paid for it.

Some people may balk at paying $3 for an app but at least you are getting not one but two high-quality apps, making the investment much more palatable. For what it is worth, WolframAlpha also goes for $2.99 on Android and iOS, but Windows users get a better deal with the two versions.

Have you been using the app on Windows Phone? Since there is no trial, what are your thoughts on it? Share below.

Thanks, everyone, for the tips!
