Borderlands 2, Assassin's Creed Rogue among the latest batch of Xbox backward compatible games

A new batch of games are hitting the Xbox One backward compatibility list, led chiefly by the likes of Borderlands 2 and Assassin's Creed Rogue. Those two are just the tip of the iceberg, however, as Xbox's Larry Hryb has announced that there are 4 additional titles hitting the list today as well.

Other arrivals include Gyromancer, which is an interesting fusion of RPG and puzzle gameplay from a collaboration between Square Enix and Pop Cap. Also hitting the list is Moon Diver, which is a side-scrolling co-op action game in which you fight to reclaim a ruined earth in the year 2081.

King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match has also joined the list, offering a retro King of Fighters arcade feel with an absolutely gigantic roster. Rounding things out is Space Invaders: Infinity Gene, which brings 143 stages that start out as classic Space Invaders and gradually evolve as you play.

Don't forget that Borderlands 2 is set to go free for Xbox Live Gold members as part of March's Games with Gold from March 1-15. So, if you don't mind waiting a bit, you won't have to shell out the $20 the game currently fetches at the Xbox Marketplace.
