Cortana release for Europe 'in the coming months' according to rep for Microsoft France

According to a tweet shared by Microsoft's Lawrence Schlosser, French consumers won't have much longer to wait before Cortana is available. The tweet by Schlosser, who is a Senior Director of Operator Channels at Microsoft France, notes that Cortana is on an accelerated pace and it should hit France "in the coming months". A familiar but somewhat reassuring expression these days for Microsoft fans.

Reports suggest Microsoft may be pushing for more markets within Europe, leading us to expect a general regional-announcement covering multiple countries. We have received tips from Europeans who have come across some interesting findings, including the Cortana web page for the Netherlands (these pages are also available for other European languages, including Portuguese, Spanish, French and more).

Although the evidence is light, it's clear Microsoft wants to get Cortana on as many Windows Phones as possible. It is simply a matter of when. For Europe, it shouldn't be much longer. We'll let you all know once we learn more.
