Enjoy the latest fashion with official Next apps for Windows and Windows Phone

Next

Popular UK retailer Next has released official apps for Windows and Windows Phone, enabling consumers to enjoy the latest fashion at their fingertips. The main feature of both the apps is to shop while on the move for free, browsing ranges of quality clothes, shoes and homeware from Next. The universal apps themselves fit in nicely with the overall experience of Microsoft's ecosystem.

Since there are many, many products available to browse through, convenient navigation, search and filters are available to narrow everything down for those dream purchases. Here are some of the highlighted features, listed on the Windows Phone Store:

  • The full online range of hundreds of Next products
  • Easy to use navigation and search
  • Secure payment and access to your Next Directory account
  • Next day delivery promise when ordered before 10pm
  • Free returns
  • "Buy Now, Pay Later" feature
  • Store Locator

Next Windows 8

They're neat hybrid (mixing the best of native and web worlds) apps with solid functionality, particularly the next day delivery and store locator, just in case either are hastily required. There's room for improvements but it's great to see yet more official support.

Zara still has the best app, you can tell they actually paid some attention unlike these web wrappers that the rest put out

My wife will be delighted, she buys a lot of stuff there. She doesn't seem to ware a lot of it but she still buys it.

As we can clearly see from the number of the comments (9 at the moment), Windows Phone is not attracting too many women...

I used to work there before about 2 years ago when we launched the new site and they already had an app for Windows 8. Glad to see them bringing it to the Windows Phone though.

Rich, do you think you could make it absolutely clear in app articles whether the app is a "genuine" app or a web wrapper? Personally I won't download any more web wrappers because a) I don't to support that level of commitment (large corporations might well release a product, but then not bother updating it) and b) the performance is almost always below par.

I'm not sure what you mean by "hybrid app" - this seems to be a web wrapper, pure and simple.

NEXT boutiques in Saudi Arabia, at least on Men's section, sucks. You hardly can even choose on anything as they have less inventories on men's wear. And that made me think NEXT has no taste on fashion. Anyhow, would love to check some items found on this app on NEXT stores in Bahrain or Dubai, UAE during vacation.

Hope H&M, Pull&Bear and Bershka will release an official WP app.
