Yelp!, the travel app that connects you with everything from hotels to gas stations to food joints, is looking for a little help. When asked if their popular Windows Phone 7 app would be updated any time soon, their reply:
Understandably Yelp! is focusing with areas of the most activity but nice to see that they are wanting to effectively handle additional platforms by increasing their staff. No details on the specifics of the developer's position were available, but you can contact Yelp! through their website here for all the details.
And if you haven't tried Yelp!, you can find your free copy here (opens in new tab) (opens Zune) at the Marketplace.

Well there you go, thats good news for those WP& devs looking for a job.I say go for it even if its not what you wanted to do originally with you skills, its commercial experience with a global brand and it could lead to bigger higher paid projects.Ii would snap it up, but i'm still at "Hello World" stage with WP7. lolTalk the talk, now walk the walk.
From what I heard they have a high employee turnover...
The Yelp app is buggy. They definitely need help. It's just a search app. Get it fixed Yelp!
Well, some good news. I was an avid Yelp! user on the iPhone. I loved the check in features, etc. Other solutions exist on WP7 like Foursquare, etc, but I'm just not as keen on them as I am Yelp. I really hope I can start using Yelp! again and perhaps even keep my titles/achievements, etc, earned while on the iPhone (even if I'll need to do some more eating, etc, to upkeep and unseat people with titles LOL).
