New Gears of War 4 gameplay footage shows a new enemy and an old friend

Over 8 minutes of new gameplay footage from the upcoming Xbox One and Windows 10 game Gears of War 4 was revealed today. It shows off more of Microsoft's sci-fi shooter sequel, including a new enemy and the return of a character from the franchise's previous installments.

The new footage comes from IGN and shows the three members of the Gears of War 4 cast teaming up with Marcus Fenix, the main character of the first three Gears games. He may be a bit older but he can still use that classic gun-chainsaw combo. The trailer also shows the new robotic enemy race in the game, the Deebees, along with some new weapons as well.

Gears of War 4 will be released on October 11 and will be an Xbox Play Anywhere game, which means players can purchase the Xbox One version and get the game for Windows 10 for free, and vice versa.
