It has certainly been an incredibly busy start to the week here at Windows Phone Central. We published a special From the Forums yesterday that went into changes that are currently happening here on-site with the new design and backend improvements being applied, not to mention our Windows Phone 8 contest!

Today we're back with a true From the Forums, so what's been happening in our community?

As we covered in our round-up of today's Windows Phone event, Microsoft has been an extremely busy bee indeed. Our Windows Phone forums have also been fairly active lately, particularly when our main website went down for some surprise maintenance. So what's new in the community? Jump into this special edition of From the Forums to find out more.

Welcome to another From the Forums, where we bring you the latest and greatest discussions from the Windows Phone Central forums. It has been a rather busy day with a lot of articles being pumped through our feed so we figured it would be a jolly good idea to wrap up the discussions that are on-going in our community.

We've opened up two new forums for the HTC 8X and HTC 8S, which were both unveiled by HTC today in New York. If you're considering purchasing one of the two new Windows Phones from HTC, be sure to head on over to the designated sections to engage with other readers in relevant discussions.

HTC announced the 8X and 8S today at its New York Windows Phone 8 presentation. These two new smartphones are the company's Apollo entries to go up against Samsung's ATIV S and Nokia's family of Lumias.

The HTC 8X and 8S sport new designs and implemented features that are sure to turn heads and demand attention - particularly the choice of colours and Beats Audio support. Both featuring LCD 2 displays and dual-core S4 chips, the new HTC Windows Phones aren't slouches by any means.

We've opened up two new forums -- one for the 8X and another for the 8S -- for these handsets, which can now be discussed as well as any compatible accessories.

We've not had a From the Forums roundup for a few days due to an overwhelming focus on Nokia and the recently announced Lumia hardware. We can only cover so much before you begin to repeat previous threads. Unfortunately this appeared it would be the case until the HTC event, but luckily there's enough happening surrounding the iPhone announcement, as well as other general discussions.

Nokia announced the Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 Windows Phones on Wednesday at its joint conference with Microsoft. Unveiling new features and functionality, including wireless charging, PureView camera technology, and PureMotion HD+ display, Nokia certainly delivered. We've now added new forums to cover these new Windows Phones.

In a poll conducted this past weekend here at Windows Phone Central, 7,640 participants voted on the top-three features (out of an optional nine choices) they wanted most in Windows Phone 8.

Although the full consumer feature list has yet to be revealed by Microsoft, due to the leaked SDK a few weeks ago a lot of the new options have been detailed already. In turn, we asked users what they thought was missing (or we saw no evidence for) in Microsoft’s next-gen mobile operating system.

The results are certainly interesting and by large margins the top three choices by users are clearly discernable...

Okay folks, we asked and you answered. Yesterday we posted an open discussion on what you thought were some missing features from Windows Phone 8, knowing what we know so far (which is actually a lot due to the SDK leak). We were curious and Microsoft is curious.

In turn we received over 600 well thought out and detailed comments on the issue and we poured over it, trying to distil the top requests.

Looking over the comments we picked what we thought were the top nine most requested and talked about features that are evidently missing in ‘Apollo’. You can now vote on those nine by choosing the top three features that you want the most come to Windows Phone.
