The Division 2 has attracted more beta signups than any other Ubisoft game

One of the biggest titles to be revealed at the recent E3 show out in LA was Ubisoft's The Division 2. The sequel to the hugely popular first game takes the story six months further on from the outbreak of the green poison and shifts the action to Washington D.C.

E3 was the first look at gameplay from The Division 2, and while the game isn't set to launch until March 2019, excitement is already bubbling. And as reported by VG 24/7, Ubisoft's latest earnings report has revealed just how popular it's already become.

Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot, talked about the beta registrations for the game and how they're already four times higher than any other beta in Ubisoft history. The previous champion here? The Division.

Sure, the beta is free and open to everyone on PS4, Xbox One and PC, but the response following the reveal has certainly been impressive. We still don't have a date for the beta, but it's clear that The Division 2 is going to be a big deal.

The news comes alongside other earnings report related goodies for the company, including a record quarter and confirmations of new content in the forthcoming quarter for South Park, Far Cry 5, For Honor and Rainbow Six Siege.
