What you need to know
- Gears Tactics released for PC in April 2020.

- Gears Tactics runs at 4K 60 FPS on Xbox Series X and 1440p 60 FPS on Xbox Series S.
Locust-smashing strategy game Gears Tactics has gone gold and is coming to Xbox consoles on November 10. While we previously knew that Gears Tactics would run at 4K 60 FPS on Xbox Series X, the specs for other platforms like Xbox Series S weren't known — until now. In an interview with The Verge, The Coalition confirmed that Gears Tactics runs at 1440p 60 FPS on Xbox Series S.
As for base Xbox One consoles, you'll have a choice of running Gears Tactics at 4K 30 FPS or 1440p 60 FPS on Xbox One X, while the Xbox One S runs the game at 1080p 30 FPS. It also supports full mouse and keyboard controls on all Xbox consoles.
Regardless of where you're taking on the list of monsters the Locust Horde throws your way, you'll have a polished experience. Gears Tactics hero Gabe Diaz is also coming to Gears 5 as a playable character. To unlock him, you'll just need to play the tutorial mission in Gears Tactics on any platform.
Best of both worlds
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate 3 Month Subscription
Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold in one
Xbox Game Pass gives you access to over 200 games for one monthly fee. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate also adds Xbox Live Gold to the package so you can play online with your friends. Right now, you can purchase a three-month subscription for a great price.
Xbox Series X/S
It will be interesting to see if there's any graphical difference between Series S and Xbox One X at 1440p.
I would assume the Series S will have improved loading and it might incorporate ray tracing as well if that's something tactics has.
