Gestures Beta allows you to interact with your Windows Phone in an entirely new way

Sure, you can use Glance to view incoming notifications without unlocking your phone, but what about using your device without actually interacting with the touchscreen? That's where Gestures Beta comes in. With the latest utility from Microsoft, you can automatically answer a call by picking up your phone and putting it to you ear, and much more.

As demonstrated in the video above, there are several features that are available with Gestures Beta, like:

  • Answer a call by picking up your phone and putting it to you ear
  • Mute your mic during a call by placing the phone on a flat surface with the display facing down
  • Put the call on speaker by placing the phone on a flat surface with the display facing up
  • Silence the phone by flipping it display down (if not in active call).

This is the first release of the client, so it is likely that more features will make their way as updates roll in. Do note that you need to restart your phone after installation to be able to use the feature. Also, Microsoft mentions that devices like Lumia 635, Lumia 630 and Lumia 530 have limited functionality.

Windows Phone fans, what do you think of Gestures Beta? Let us know what functionality you'd like to see in upcoming versions in the comments.

  • Pretty much like Harmattan!
  • These types of apps are needed to make the OS grow faster..!! Today we can say "Hats Off Microsoft"..!! Hope it's a stock thing in WP 10..!!
  • +1020
  • yes!
  • the guy in the video was talking to an Alien
  • BREAKING NEWS :: Microsoft found aliens before NASA,,ESA,, ISRO or any others..!!
  • 2 years later, BREAKING NEWS: Apple invents aliens
  • *2 years later--BREAKING NEWS :: We(Apple) invented aliens before Microsoft found them on Skype..!!
  • Also, starting tomorrow, we will have a patent on gray and green faces, so all your alien are belong to us.

  • Friday Samsung will release 10 different shades of gray
  • Samsungs state to that: Designed for aliens.
  • Was that the prequel to 50 Shades of Grey?
  • 49 shades of grey
  • Lol... So true
  • THAT'S PERFECT!!
  • I hope they will include it in windows 10 x_x
  • who aliens?
  • One feature is still missing -  The call should end automatically after putting back in pocket..
  • And the phone knows it's going in a pocket how? Since changing to vertical position with sensor next to another surface (such as your ear) answers the call, and face down during call mutes mic, what position change/sensor reading would you suggest for ending call? I'd hate to put phone down during call, go to speaker, and when I pick it up and hold it to my ear again, I hang up the call.
  • I usually have the phone upside down with screen facing thigh in my pocket. So maybe that would work.
  • Yup. It's an easy thing to program an app to perform a certain action when the phone is turned vertically upside down and pressed against a thigh. I suspect they were trying to provide functionality for the majority of users... When you choose to respond to a ringing phone, you want to quickly answer it or silence it. If you are having a phone conversation with someone, the last thing you want to have happen is for your phone to misinterpret a gesture as something that should disconnect the call. Hopefully, you'll be engaged enough in the call to deliberately choose when to end the call (such as happens when you tap "end call").
  • I put mine in my back pocket often, so maybe sensing a quick twirking motion while pressed up against the inside of the jeans back pocket would do the trick............  .........
  • LOL. I don't think there is a pressure sensor. Besides what happens if I'm squeezing the phone between shoulder and ear so I have 2 hands free for a minute? I disconnect the call? GET OVER IT. Microsoft wisely opted to not have your calls disconnected when you twirked your phone.
  • Omg! This is so amazing ! Now mixview for winphone and i am a happy man !
  • Hold your horses, this is still in beta, doesn't work if you pick your phone from pocket.
  • Yes, it works from the pocket, I just tested that. It uses proximity sensor and probably accelerometer or compass. Absent proximity sensor is the reason it doesn't work on 53x and 63s models.
  • Might be. But it didn't work properly for 520.
  • Can't download it... Anyone an idea why not?
    (using HTC 8s)
  • Only for Lumia phones...
  • using HTC 8s
    that's why...
  • Luckily my HTC already got a few of these functions... But that's only a few (only 1 I think...) the sh*t up(!)...
  • Nokia (Microsoft) devices only.
  • This is awesome, I've been waiting for the "flip over to silence" functionality . Microsoft is on a roll.
  • Flip to silence had been available since long.
  • To silence an incoming call after it began ringing, yes, but not to silence the entire phone
  • I tried doing that, it silences the incoming call, not the entire phone, for upcoming calls.
  • I know it used to work for me at one point to flip the phone to silence it on an incoming calls.  Not sure if it did it for all incoming calls.  You may not want that anyway unless there is a time limit like an hour.  I just tested my phone but the flip to silence didn't even work.  It is probably because I am up to date with the OS updates, but stuck on Black firmware because of Verizon.  Anyway, I am installing Gestures now.
  • Doesn't work on my Lumia 928.  Do we need Cyan installed?  Thanks for Verizon! It installed the first time.  I rebooted, then the App wouldn't even load.  Uninstalled and reinstalled.  Rebooted again and the app installed, but still not automatically answering the call.  I can only assume Cyan is needed.
  • Cyan is definitely needed. It's a wp8.1 exclusive xD
  • According to the windows phone store site it's compatible with wp8 and wp8.1
  • Was already available under audio.
  • Hahahahaha..... And... Hahahahahaha ....LOL
  • you have it
  • Great thing is it works really well.
  • Sounds useful! Hopefully it works well.
  • McLaren technology on my 1020!!
  • LOL..!! On many 520s too..!!
  • #520stillno.1
  • You don't have a 41mp camera sensor though:p
  • McLean sure, these features were to come on McLaren
  • Cool feature! I would like to have it unlock the device as a pick it up, or take it out of my pocket. Instead of pushing the unlock button.
  • Seems like that could be accidentally triggered really easy.
  • That functionality is already baked in: disable your phone's password.
  • Ok, just assume for a while that this feature exist. Then what if u jump from 2 feet height. I think ur phone will act like u put out this from ur pocket and cheers! It is unlocked
  • Or even nice..If someone steals it from your pocket..!! He would be a happy man..!! LOL Nice for thieves..!!
  • If only phones had proximity sensors on the front of them that could tell the phone whether its covered or not.
  • It should of course work with more than just the motion sensor. Much of the functionality is there already. If you take the phone out of your pocket shortly after you get a text message the screen will turn on and show the toast notification. Im guessing this uses ambient light sensor and accelerometer.
I just want to unlock my phone in the same way..
Also, if I have a password on my phone, it should unlock to the password screen, not the homescreen.
Mine locks only asks for password if it has been locked for 30 minutes. Something I find very convenient...
  • Yeah... That will be cool...
  • I guess double tap on screen can save the pain of pushing the unlock button. I use it all the time.
  • But the Glove Sensitivity unlocks it in the pocket itself..!!
  • Nice!! Lumia 920 user here and I'm thrilled to have new features on such an older device
  • Don't we already have flip to silence?
  • Yup. That's already there.
  • This is place face down to put on silent. Flip to silence is like oh crap, my ringer is on.
  • Both are the same. The phone rings, you place your phone face down and the ringtone is silenced.
  • Nope. This one puts the whole phone on silent if it's laying face down on your desk.
  • Ain't in silent mode when he put the phone facedown, it was in mute
  • It didn't work very well on my 920.
  • Does this works with headsets On????
  • it's not even tuesday and lots of stuff rollin out today!
  • what's special with turesday?
  • Lets you download if you have 8.0 but it says it doesn't work with this version on windows phone when you open the app.
  • Interesting..
  • Great news everywhere!
  • Now testing..
  • My HTC trophy had this years ago. First thing I missed when I got my Lumia 928
  • But not on HTC 8x :-(
  • Actually the M8 has nearly all of this already.
  • I think my Tilt and Tilt2 had these in Windows Mobile, as well. :)
  • Sounds like leftover features from McLaren. Cool nonetheless!
  • That's cool
  • Now microsoft is doing their stuff! GO MSFT! I'm excited!!
  • Early Christmas woooo!!!
  • Something to show my lagadroid friends
  • Dude,Android has had these features for a while now..your friends wont be impressed
  • Even if your friends have an old Windows Mobile device around, they'll already have it. :D
  • +1520
  • FTW
  • Find The West?
  • •Put the call on speaker doesn't work straight right now. Need some improvements there, the others functionalities works great! Thanks MS.
  • True that. I have been unable to put my 1020 on speaker through this app. But rest of the features work as desired. Thumps up MICROSOFT!
  • Same here, left feedback. Had to pick up the bottom of my phone a little to trigger it, a quick update to the tolerance on the code should fix it.

  • Did you send them your feedback?
  • me too, not working on 525.
  • This is awesome what a nice Xmas surprise from MSFT :)
  • Wow, just wow! The best thing about windows phone is, my Lumia 920 is almost 2 years all, and I'm still getting surprises in terms of new apps and features every other week!
  • Well tats where windows beats android.. At least for me..
  • Wow, someone actually enjoying their phone rather than complaining about things on here? +1520 for you!
  • I'm surprised my 525 supports it...
  • All the models listed with limited support have 512MG of RAM, whereas the 525 has 1GB. That'd be my guess as to why. :-)
  • I'm guessing it has more to do with the lack of proximity/light sensors in the mentioned models.
  • Bingo. Models mentioned missing necessary sensors.
  • Ah, yes. That makes even more sense. :-)
  • Pun intended?
  • No, dang it. I wish it had been! :-)
  • I liked all the gestures... but the only problem I see is... what if the flip down to mute doesn't work? I will start to talk and the person on ther line will hear everything... :( lol
  • I thought about this as well. Would suck if the app crashed and they heard what you were saying. But even with regular mute, I always make sure by talking to them and seeing if they respond. I never trust mute even with my office land line. Always a good idea to test.
  • It should have a little sound, like a knock sound effect to say it's muted. The mic is muted so the recipient won't hear it anyway.
  • sounds great :))
  • Installs a runs fine on L1520 with dev preview. Still have to test it out.
  • Wow, this is amazing.
  • ^_^ been longing for this since I saw it on those S3 Android phones 2 years ago! We catching up Windows Phone! This makes up for the feature-less upgrade of the glance screen they just gave us.
  • I wonder if this will work on my ATIV S.
  • How silly of me. Of course not.
  • it's a shame, Ativ S user here :/
  • No 8X, either.
  • not on my 8xt either. i should know better than to think anything good would come to this device. i still haven't got the 8.1 update that was apparently released last week.
  • Silly you!  Of course not - Microsoft apparently only cares about Lumia phones now.  Us Samsung users are going to be left in the dust.
  • I don't know MS plz release a proper feature no betas tired with buggy software like lockscreen beta.
  • If lock screen of death lol
  • They want as much open feedback as they can, it really helps development (as long as it keeps getting updated...)
  • Then don't use it until it's out of beta? The lockscreen app is just plain bad IMO. This actually seems useful.
  • any news about upcoming nokia? pls guys
  • Unfortunately, it's not called "Nokia" anymore .... =(
  • nokia lumia lol
  • One more try left.
  • Microsoft Lumia is the name. :)
  • Man!!
  • Great!!!!!!
  • Awesome!!
  • Installing now!
  • Cool, this is some android functionality I've been waiting for ages for.
  • "Attentive Phone" on HTC One M8.
  • All the features are working in my 630
  • I think he is talking about upcoming featured which has limited functionality for 630, 530......etc
  • How is it possible? My girlfriend and I both have Lumia 630 and it doesn't work for any of us!
  • Is pretty cool...It would be great to have a gesture to end call too!
  • Not working on my Icon?  I've rebooted my phone...
  • Same here!
  • Yeah I've only got 2 options for this :/
  • Close app then open it again and see if you have 4 options now.
  • No dice on my Icon....
  • Still doesn't show any more
  • I only get a couple options on my 810.  I'm guessing it might have something to do with firmware. At least you can still hope your Icon gets new firmware. I don't get even that much.
  • Good news :) keep them coming
  • Works great, thanks Microsoft :)!!!!
  • Great! I have a 630 :(
  • K
  • केके
  • excellent !!!
  • The small things like this I miss by not owning a Microsoft device anymore. Still happy with the M8. Less buggy that my 925 and 920
  • Doesn't answer a call on Nokia Lumia 928. I'll keep testing
  • Same....none of the features work on my 928 with 8.1 DP.  In the Gestures Beta settings, I only have the settings to Answer incoming calls when I raise & Toggle speaker mode when placing phone faceup.  Time to send feedback....  :(
  • You probably need Cyan?
  • Love the commercial!! Lolzzz
  • blah blah bla ba bah blah ba?
  • DOES NOT WORK ON ICON WITH DP 8.1
  • I wondered the same. I guess without glance it can't support gestures. Not hardware supported.
  • It does. Lumia 735 has no glance also and auto answer works. As soon as I put my Lumia to my my ear it picks up the call. So glance has nothing to do with gestures. And yes: I like it.
  • Interesting. Unsure why the Icon is an exception.
  • Because Verizon.
  • Needs cyan. Verizon yaaaay, NOT!
  • Its raining Apps..... woh woh
  • McLaren features live on...
  • Awesome feature for Lumia devices, but again MS won't promote it.....
  • Great app
  • I live in a dog shelter. This will improve my life a little.
  • Now MS get us clash of clans plz
  • Just play AOE:CS, clash of clans is a copy of this game.
  • Excelent! I'm sure all of us would love to see more features like this on our phones. Keep working this Ms
  • Its an excellent app, working flawlessly in my Lumia 520....
  • I guess the "teacher" voice from Charlie Brown has a copywriters seal on it so they used the voice of an android.  lol.
  • So like HTC one m8 or naw?
  • Since the M8 already has most of these features, I'm not even going to try out this beta on it.
  • I was waiting for this egarly. Loving it..!!
  • Awesome! Great to have these new things
  • App will prompt you to restart. Do so, then open app again. I only saw TWO options on first start. I closed app, started again, and voila... All 4 options appeared. Odd, but ok now.
  • Same, makes me wonder if there were more than 4 options under that dialog box.
  • I take it they are using their secret private restricted API which for some reason they don't want other devs to have access to...because you know, somebody may make a useful app for windows phone for a change?
  • It's really nice :) Loved it :)
  • Don't the HTC 8x have these already? I had one before and knew it had flip to silence, and toggle to speakerphone on call.
  • And there's that word BETA again....
  • The app isn't final, they want feedback for more gestures.
  • superb app/...goood ap fora low budget mobiles
  • This has so much potential!
  • I tested "Silence the phone by flipping it display down (if not in active call).". I played podcast and flip back it to table top. Sound still goes on. Why?
  • It's for silencing incoming calls, not muting the phone.
  • With the Lumia 630, 635 and 530 having no ambient sensor, placing the phone near to the ear will result to nil hence limited functionality...
  • From an angle, that looked like Jony Ive using a Lumia :D
  • Works fine on 620.
  • Only a couple options show up on my 810. Looks like limited support for older firmware, too. Thanks, T-Mobile.
  • Sorry it is not useful for my 620, it doesn't works
  • It's working for me on l620...
  • Nice app
  • Already tried, very cool feature.  I like it.
  • Good to see windows phone getting better and better. Feeling happy lot of apps coming in and lot of new features and I hope windows 10 would be rocking after having such good apps for windows phone 8.1
  • Not working for my 730 :(
  • Works on my Lumia 735 (with 8.1 DP)
  • Perfectly working on lumia 730.. try restart device n use.
  • Working PERFECTLY on Lumia 620 :) THANX MS :)
  • +1
  • One bug i found, When its installed this app, "flip to silence" stopped working on my L620, when i uninstalled it , "flip to silence" works smoothly. Did anyone noticed??
  • Cool
  • Seems to work on my L820 !
  • this is microsoft i know they are playing hard to increase market share. In india where i am from the growth is exponential in past few years. Many friends of mine who ahve been past droid users are now switing to wp.
  • Great idea.. Restarting phone killed battery from 100% to 24%.
  • Plug in for a minute,ur 100%will be back, i got this before... :)
  • Oh, good tip, I didn't know that :]
  • Usually restarting the phone takes a good amount of battery (15 or 20 % in my case), but almost 80% is definitely unusual.
  • I'm loving this
  • L822 with DP8.1 has limited functionality.  Only able to answer incoming calls by placing phone to ear and toggle to speaker mode by placing face up on flat surface.  Other functionality not available.
  • Yeah, it's unfortunate. Guess my phone is outdated by Microsoft's standards. If only they would give me a new device to upgrade to...but that would be too much to ask from a phone manufacturer I guess.
  • Finally someone who dares to say something realistic about MS. I'm getting tired of people on the frontpage acting almost like happy slaves every time their cellphone master drops them a tiny beta crumb, lol.
  • Update: Installs with only the functionality previously mentioned, but they don't work at all.  :(
  • I am waiting for this one a long long ago
  • HTC Phones have always done this. I wonder if the One M8 for Windows does it already.
  • Indeed! The One M8 for Windows already has this option.
  • If they read here, well, I will give my feedback directly on the app   GREAT
  • I remember those being some of the features rumored for McLaren.
  • Now MS gives us 3 g only switch plz .
  • I thought it was like color os or similar than you drawn a letter or figure in the blocked screen and open an app...well, is a welcome feature
  • Only 2 options available on 822, Answer and speaker toggle.
  • unlike the unless features that samsung add to their phones this app really usefull and helps a lot good job Microsoft Lumia :)
  • Will it consume more battery?
  • No, i think...
  • Im afraid of it too
  • Great, tho had something similar on Symbian. They shud add more, like start an app when headphones plugged in...
  • Similar to some kind of features in Samsung galaxy, glad to have it on WP
  • It's not in Samsung. It used to be there earlier in HTC phones.
  • Touch proximity to lock screen should also be added
  • Just tried this on my Lumia 630! Works awesomely with pick up to call!
  • Works pretty good and very useful
  • This is soo cool! Awesome work MSFT!
  • Very nice, just tested and it works awesome! I only hope they integrate this in the settings and dont keep it in the app list.
  • It's so the app can be deleted.
  • Really? Under what settings?
  • I can download it to my stock icon but it says not supported with this version of windows phone
  • Not working in Lumia 630.Have tried multiple times
  • Mute with face down feature doesn't work for me (never worked with the stock setting either), but the "accept call with lifting the phone to my ear" works nicely! L520 edit: nevermind, mute works too lol
  • Not working on my 920
  • This is really a great move by microsoft. I have noticed one thing that the features of this app does not work in low light or dark conditions but it works great in good light conditions. L620
  • What I am mean. Installing.
  • Yo ..
  • I'm sure we all by now from all the other HTC users posts screaming the same thing.....
  • A bit behind the times. My HTC Touch Pro 2 had several of those features and that was Windows 6.5!! My HD7 had flip to silence and speaker phone on flat surface... And that was Windows Phone 7! Anyone with an HTC Windows phone just look for "Attentive Phone" settings....
  • +1
  • Lumia exclusive? Says unavailable for my device (HTC 8X) ... Uh well,
  • Have had most if these on my HTC8X since I obtained it...
  • IIRC, such features were reported by WPCentral (and probably others) as being part of the expected McLaren "experience". Good to see at least this part is now coming to fruition. Then again, still in Beta so no wonder if McLaren got cancelled/postponed if even this is not fully functional yet.
  • Now this is cool
  • Tried to download app. Not available for my device, HTC 8X. Drats and double Drats. Yet another nail in the coffin for HTC devices.
  • I think I noticed this feature on my HTC Titan, which is a Windows phone 7. Also, lots of features that we celebrate today as innovative are already there with my Xperia X2, windows mobile 6.5. So, it seems we are always going round a circle as far as tech advancement is concerned
  • I tried to answer my phone by placing it on my ear bt it ddnt answer the call and m using the 1320
  • Your ear has to touch the screen, not only the proximity sensor :) try again and see.
  • Lol the speaker is above the screen tho but m gna try and
  • Blablablablablabala. Ablabalabaka
  • Anyone get this to work on a 928? I am running the developer preview, but so far can't get this to work. Would really get a lot of use from this feature and want it to work...    Thanks.
  • Same here....no workie on 928 8.1 DP...  :(
  • Downloaded and having just restart, can any of you guy care to ring me? Haha, I like it.
  • Will stay BETA till 2016.
  • Great features
  • Great addition.. The call will be answered not only when its near to the ear, but also its closer to the body.. Tad disappointed with that
  • 928 on Verizon. No work. So sad. Can't use Glance screen update either. No cyan, nooooooooooo! Might have to jump ship from Verizon.
  • Bake stuff like this into the os we need more unique features
  • It is baked into the OS.  These are updatable settings, you can't uninstall them but they can update them.  Because it's a beta it's a separate install, but it'll probably be included in the next OS update when it's out of beta.
  • I would agree with you.. However, me being an Antiv S user.. I find it kind of strange that this beta is only available to Nokia users apparantly. It's also nice actually; when it gets out of beta (knowing microsoft: if it does ever get out of beta and just doesn't disappear out of the store all of a sudden)  the update will probably thrash all Windows Phone 8.1 installs on Huawei's, Samsungs and HTC's.. And other 3rd party OEMs. Not to mentions: the news posts about this on this site will probably be full of users commenting that "stuuuuuupid 3rd party OEMS didn test this again lolz u all shld have bough Croakia111!!111oneone" comments.
  • My thoughts: why is this coming out in an app? This seems so obvious that it should be part of Windows Phone itself! And if its coming in Windows Phone 10 then why do you need an app? The only thing that makes sense to me is that Windows Phone 10 will not be compatible with current hardware and/or apps so they are creating an app for existing users. Wow, I really hope this is not true.
  • Why app? Apps can be updated easily and fast. No need to do heavy OS updates just for a minor improvements. Lots of wp major features come as apps: Camera, music, video, glance... Go check pls.
  • So you jumped from questioning the need for an app to Windows 10 for phones being incompatible with current hardware despite at least one official claim that it will be. Bravo, nay saying at its best!
  • I think that they are using the beta version to get more feedback so that the final version integrated in the OS would be great.
  • This is not an 'app'... it's an 'updatable setting'.  Just like Glance, Audio, Display, etc.  they are part of the OS Settings, you can't uninstall them but they can update them.   The Beta is an app beacuse it's a beta, but once the official version is out, it'll be integrated into the Settings menu just like the rest.  Hence why the Gestures tile icon is one of the settings gears.
  • hoping this gestures gets updates and this may be hint towards windows gesture phone !.I think MS has lined up with windows 10 phone i am waiting
  • i love this app expecting more like this gesture controls.........windows 10,hope this app is integrated from core :)
  • Oh man I'd constantly be paranoid that my phone wasn't actually muted...
  • Hrm. I swear Lumia phones could do this already. Talk about crazy.
  • That was cool... If they integrate with OS it would be nice. Anyways an app will do for now.
  • It will be part of the Settings menu once it's out of Beta - just like Glance, Display, Audio, etc.
  • This app is awesome and Netflix got profile update when I was downloading this!!
  • That was a surprise. Two updates in one day. MS might be getting serious.
  • Is that Daffy Duck speaking to him?
  • Btw, a good innovation by Microsoft.
  • This is the reason why I love windows phone.
  • I only have the first two features available on my icon..
    :(
  • Same with me. Lumia 630.
  • No Ativ S:c
  • It's a Lumia exclusive.
  • Hats off just awesome
  • Flip the phone face down to mute mic isn't working for my Lumia 630. Doesn't even have a check box for it. Can anyone tell me why?
  • Not working on 928 Verizon !? Why?! I'm on 8.1 for developers. Can anyone tell me what's wrong ?
  • Any luck in getting it to work? I am in the same boat...
  • I'm on Icon via verizzzzzzzzzzz.
  • Flip the phone face down to mute mic isn't working for my Lumia 630. Doesn't even have a check box for it. Can anyone tell me why?
  • This function works with the proximity sensor and the 630 doesn't have it.
  • I remember the last versions of Windows Mobile had this, or perhaps it was just an HTC app that did it. Either way I'm glad it's finally back!
  • Awesome!!!!!Microsoft
  • Yeah, but how do you trust it? All software glitches at some point. If you flip the phone, you can't see the display to see  if it's actually muted.
  • Ask your friend to call you.
  • If you read my comment, I'm not doubting it won't work the first time or the 100th time. I'm just saying that I've never used a piece of software that worked 100% of the time, therefore I would never just trust that the mic is muted without ever seeing the screen.
  • Tried it the mic mutes when you face it down during a call, but won't turn on the loud speaker when you place it face up
  • Thanks MS thank you
  • Superb
  • Awesome!
  • Not working on my lumia icon!
  • Damn, this' one fine thing...
  • Great feature, all 4 work pretty well on Lumia 520. Speaker seems a bit harder to activate, it requires a very exact horizontal position of the phone.
  • Any reasons why it doesnt work or show in settings on my Lumia 925? And yes I have the latest Cyan with all the updates. EDIT: Scratch that. It works :)
  • Nice start up by microsoft , give us feature of unlocking phone as soon as we take it out from the cover like in blackberry phones
  • Didnt get it. What you talking about?
  • An "App" tapping into core OS functionality. Could it mean more customizability coming to WP in coming updates? Or am I thinking it wrong?
  • The two "mute" options are not available on the Lumia Icon, probably because Verizon has STILL not released the Cyan firmware update!  I'm so P I 5 5 ed at Verizon!  Worst phone experience of my life, even worse than the Samsung Galaxy Nexus experience!  Microsoft REALLY needs to do something to force them to approve and release this update!
  • I love you microsoft!!!!
  • Man December is turning out to be a good month for windows phone
  • This. Is. AWESOME!!!!!!
  • One feature is still missing -  The call should end automatically after putting back in pocket..:P  :D
  • Seems like a great product, but PLZ tell me that the M8 has their own version of this stuff already. Or else im gonna be SO upset they made this a Lumia phone exclusive.
  • Been missing these type of features since I left my Nokia N9 (the N900 also had a few gestures as well)! Hope all the Nokia engineers that stayed in the merger push MS to get big on these.
  • Lift the device to wake should be implemented also.
  • Why doesn't it work for the Lumia 928
  • Anybody else with an Icon have it working for you?
  • Plz also add the eye sense
    .....!!!
  • Another Awesome App was that Charlie Browns teacher on the phone.
  • It is not working with my 620,how to work it, please give me an idea friends
  • I'd like to see added a function where when in contacts, you just open the contact you want and place your phone to your ear it automatically calls that person.
  • Nothing new..flip to silence is already available. The only new thing is auto call answer.
  • That something "new" is a major step forward in ease of use when you specifically want your phone to behave like a phone! Hate to be a dinosaur about this, but I was beginning to long for the canary yellow corded phone hanging on the kitchen wall.
  • while this is amazing, my phone is now answering as soon as i get it from my pocket. how do i prevent this.
  • Copying BlackBerry ? ;-)
  • It's not a necessary function. the speakerphone is ready accessible and in plain view on the screen on the dialar page of the app. If the speakerphone button was difficult to access, I could understand the sentiment of this function.
  • Add shake to end call..
  • Good way to use gravity and proximity sensor... way to go microsoft
  • Not working on 1520 DP
  • Tested it. GREAT
  • Add more guyz like when putting ur phone in the pocket will automatically lock it
  • Not working on Lumia 720
  • Cool app !!!! Just hope they continue to develop it
  • Lumia only.That suck's :/
  •   Not working with the Icon 929. The only options I have are , answer when I raise the phone to my ear, and toggle speaker on it's back.  neither work, and when I receive a call I have to swipe up on the screen to answer.  I have rebooted the phone as per instructions, no help.
  • Still n9 is being copied all over...best features for a mobile
  • None of the features working for me :/ L925
  • This is great. Now my WP Nokia Lumia 521 acts, well... like a phone! Thank you MS, you addressed my major complaint of all cell phones. Swipe up, answer... when you are otherwise engaged seemed so unnecessary. I had begun to long for the corded telephone hanging on the kitchen wall. Works perfectly for me and here's hoping there aren't any unsolvable downsides during beta that would nix the project.
  • My only question is do the other 2 OSes have this as well? If not then great, about damn f@#%&*g time that MS woke the f@$k up and started giving us reasons to SELL the phone to the agents who we ask for assistance in stores who are completely clueless to the abilities of this magnificent OS.
  • Yay! Another app I can't use because I do not have a Nokia. I am startigng to have windows phone.
  • This is awesome ! Windows Phone is really showing it's power, the apps, the games.
  • Cool app. I will try with my Lumia 520 :)
  • Guys anyone have this app working in ur Lumia 630 & 520..
It's not working in my phones..
    Any suggestions..
  • I hope they will make it work on windows 10
