Seems there is more trouble in store for those who forced the NoDo update with Chris Walsh's work around with the May security update, but there's a 'simple fix' that's going to be provided by Chris himself. Some users are reporting success while others are being hit by errors (80180048 included) and there's currently no information available as to what the problem is and how the 'simple fix' is implemented without re-flashing.
If you're having issues updating on a "Walshed" handset, be sure to comment on his blog post to let him know, comment below to inform us and stay tuned for the solution. Does this remind anyone of the whole discussion surrounding NoDo and the Chevron Updater (opens in new tab)?

wonder if this will apply to those who did the zune trick where you disconnected internet to find update.Still haven't gotten the htc specific update or this one on my tmous hd7...
I used the Zune trick to update my HD7, and I received and updated this new May update with no problems! :)(Although, I only got notification of it once I connected the Phone to the PC - unless it was incredibly good timing)
cool. Wasn't sure since I haven't seen the htc update (wondering if it made it across the pond).
If I'm not mistaken this security update will only come through Zune. That is what Microsoft informed consumers when they released information about this update. So you will only get notification of the update once you do connect your phone to the PC.And I just want to say that Chris knows his stuff. I have a Focus that had a similar problem having been 'Walshed', but with a few keystrokes, etc, v7.0.7392.0 is on the phone, using Zune. No need to re-flash. Stay tuned for that solution. :)Thanks Chris - you've inspired me more to learn C# ...
Here the same issue on a HTC HD7 (O2 Germany). Forced the NoDo update (just before the MS warnings). Received directly after the NoDo update the HTC Update without any problem. Now the 7392 update failes:Progress continues upto step 8; then step 1 of 2 perfoming a reboot and the update failes with error code 80180048.Hope you have a simple solutionThanks, Roelof
so big to do about nothing. Seems like the FUD was strong with this one
I have a UK T-Mobile Samsung Omnia 7 which I updated to NoDo with Chevron.I don't see any new update at all since then (!) - not sure what is going on with my phone :-(
