Truecaller team says Windows 10 Mobile version is in the works

Truecaller, the popular caller ID app for smartphones, has been available for Windows Phone owners for some time. Now there's word from the app's team that a version made for Windows 10 Mobile is in the works.
At the moment, the Windows Phone version of Truecaller, which helps alert and block unwanted calls for users, is not available for Windows 10 Mobile preview testers. However, a recent inquiry from users to the company's Twitter support page got a confirmation from the Truecaller team: "Don't worry! It will be available soon for Win10!". No other details about that version of the app have been revealed.

Wasn't this hacked a while ago? Like all user data was compromised.
-
Might be thinking of plex
-
Or other services being hacked all the time ..would say rather list the ones that have not being hacked.. but maybe others just dont know it yet.
-
I'm pretty sure this was hacked
-
Hi there, Thank you for reaching out to us about this matter. Truecaller has not been attacked, and is safe to use. The information you are referring to is from an old article dated over years ago, and is not effective currently. For more information regarding this issue, please read and share about Truecaller's steps forward in the past year: http://www.truecaller.com/blog/truecaller-statement (http://www.truecaller.com/blog/truecaller-statement) Best regards, Kamran from Truecaller.
-
Yes in 2013
-
Yes, it was hacked and the hackers got access in about 1.000.000 numbers of.. Indians!
-
Hi Wael, Thanks for your comment. No numbers were ever taken from Truecallers database, what they entered were the webpage for a few minutes only and we never store any sensitive data there so therefore nothing was ever taken. Alan our CEO spoke about this last year in a radio show as well. Feel free to read more about this in our blog http://www.truecaller.com/blog/truecaller-statement. Best regards, Kamran from Truecaller
-
And Sony was hacked etc. Does that make a difference. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
-
Cool, wasn't blocking calls here.
-
Not working in India
-
Really?
-
Hi Alay, Truecaller should be working just fine in India, would you mind elaborting on what's not working please? Include phone model and if you're phone is on Developer preview. Best regards, Kamran from Truecaller

Hello! Thanks for showing love!! /Kamran Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
-
Always, my friend. This is one of the most useful apps for me, keep up the good work.
-
Installing Truecaller disables Gestures beta and I dont find anyway to get that thing working again :\ I used to love answering my phone straight to the ear. Anybody else facing this issue? anybody succeeded in getting gestures beta working again?
-
I am able to use both of them together #640XL
-
Yeah, I found out it works on some and some ppl do have the same problem like mine. The minute true caller is installed, no way gestures beta works.
-
Hi there! Can you try to Uninstaller both apps then install truecaller, open it, enable caller ID, close the TC. Go back to the store and install Gesture app. Let me know how it went. Best regards,

I have tried everything to get this to work on my 640xl, including the gesture app... Hopefully wp10 and the new ver of truecaller will work.
-
Good boy truecaller team.
-
Uh, way to get on it after how many builds for them to have gotten a head start? I actually paid for this thing and it only worked 50% of the time on WM8.1.1 They should have had a beta version for WM10 months ago.
-
They've stated time and time again that they don't support betas/previews, and why should they?
-
I hope they can tie in to skype universal messaging so it will work with Verizon... I don't know if that is even possible.
-
if only could replace my service providers paid cid Posted via the Windows Central App for Android On W10
-
I hope it will actually works. Following the instructions to the letter I never got it to work on a 920, 1020, or 1520. Even the help in forums never worked. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
-
When did you try? It didn't work for me initially, but I left it installed. At some point after some updates it started working, and is really good now. Helps me out a lot.
-
Since the day it was announced on Windows Central and over the course of several phones. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
-
Ya, never worked for me either.
-
Hey, Sorry to hear that but can you please be more specific on the issues you were facing so we can try to help you. Thank you,
Kamran Posted via the Windows Central App for Android -
Can't download it :(
-
Hey, The W10 built is not out yet. Stay tuned and follow us and Windows central and you will have it before you know it. Best regards,

I just hope that the caller ID feature is included for non-Lumia WP handsets in the Truecaller update for W10M.
-
Hope it works well
-
"Sorry, Truecaller is no longer available". What should I do? :/
- Lumia 630 /Windows 10 Mobile Preview/ -
You should wait for an updated app.
-
You didn't even need to read the article, you just needed to read the headline to know that it's not ready yet.
-
Yet!
-
Never worked for me in 8.1 anyway. It always said my phone required the CYAN firmware even though I was already in Denim. Hopefully when they release for 10 it actually works.
-
Hi Arnold, That is quite odd, which phone are you using and was your phone on developer preview? Thank you,
Kamran Posted via the Windows Central App for Android -
Funny thing is that when I upgraded to the last build of Windows from 8.1 Truecaller worked like a dream. After a few days I did a hard reset, and Truecaller stopped working. Why did it work in W10 after the upgrade if it's not compatible?
-
Great news! Thnx Trucaller!
-
It's our pleasure. We do have it for all of your guys. Best wishes,
Kamran from Truecaller Posted via the Windows Central App for Android -
It doesn't work for "Windows Phones" it works for Lumia phones. I know that's close to the same thing but there is still a difference.
-
It doesn't really work with Lumia's either. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
-
It's never worked on my Icon anyways, so meh.
-
Hi Zachary, It's unfortunate to hear that and we hope that this W10 version will work like a charm for you. However, you are welcome to share the issues you were facing so we can help you. Thank you,
Kamran Posted via the Windows Central App for Android -
8.1 versions never really worked for me. MAYBE I'll try it on 10 if they get it right.
-
Hi there, We regret to hear that and we hope that this W10 version will work super smooth for you. However, you are more than welcome to share the issues you were facing so we can help you. Thank you,

Truecaller started working for me after the last update on windows 10 technical preview on my L720. But it doesn't show the caller details while the call rings rather I get a notification on who called after the call ended.
-
Hey, That's interesting. Note that it's not specifically supported so don't be surprised if you're facing some bugs. However, enjoy the app and have an great day. Best regards,
