Video review of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2
For those of you drooling over the recent announcement of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2, here are five more minutes of pre-release review goodness, thanks to Phone Area.
While the screen is slightly bigger, a lot of the innards remain the same, including the processor. Is that going to be enough to get people to shell out several hundred dollars this time around?

Its laggy...

The new panels/UI stuff looks pretty nice.

I'd get it if I didn't already have an X1

Just my opinion here, but I think that over all, the HTC Touch Pro 2 devices are going to outshine this one. Also factor in that this device has no carrier support at this time. In the US that is almost a kiss of death all by itself. It is probably a good phone but I would choose the TP2 over the X2, as will most others. What do the rest of the WMExperts feel about this phone?

I will buy a x2 if: X1 gets upgraded to 6.5 It comes with a application for converting videos or a set of proper guidelines Can actually play videos at its native resolution It will not be laggy It wont CRACK All carriers will drop it after a while because SE messes up again. They can prove to us that it can play back videos in "DVD Quality" Their after sale support services are not going to suck

"the screen is slightly bigger"
Well, since I went from the X1 to Omnia2, a screen that's slightly bigger simply won't do it for me. All in all, the X1 is a beautiful and well made device, but inevitably too thick. And the same will go for the X2. And once you've become used to a 3.7" screen there's no going back. -
I'll wait for the HTC Pro 3/Leo even though it might be awhile. I'm not too happy as I think SE half-assed it with the X2 and are devoting more resources into the X3. I don't hate Android but I honestly think that if MS plays it right they'll work their way to the top from WM6.5.1 to WM7 and beyond which is why I'm interested in a Windows phone as my next device. As one of the few SE fans out there, I am mighty interested in the X3 but I still prefer the Leo over the X3 for the above reason. So hurry on up HTC >.

WM 6.52 or what ever it is called, the new one is really really good i'd say - just the custom roms always have problems but it really is awesome
