Viigo - A Great Windows Mobile RSS Reader

If you're not already using an RSS reader on your Windows Mobile phone, you're really missing out. Even with the best browser out there, you're still visiting each page individually, hunting around the page for the content you're actually looking for. RSS is much more efficient - you just pick the sites you want to follow, subscribe to their RSS feeds (here's ours!), and the headlines and stories get synced to your device. Just the content you want, none of the extra fluff.

I want to love NewsGator Go, I really REALLY do, since I prefer NetNewsWire to Google Reader. But it's too crashy for me.
I think that Google Reader Sync might be coming to Viigo (I hear tell it might come ot the bb version soon)....
  • I recently tried this app. One big omission is the inability to paste in a URL for a feed when adding a feed manually.

No podcasting support (yet). From what I understand Viigo is working on it. For now, I'll stick with the HTC Rss hub which looks to me to be a branded version of Newsbreak.
  • If you use regular RSS readers, you are often limited with just headlines or short summaries. It's really annoying when when you tap on an article and have just one short sentence to read...
There is a program that actually delivers full-text articles to a mobile device. Try mDigger - www.mdigger.com. Moreover, it can access regular websites, not just RSS feeds. When you sync your device, everything is downloaded to your phone and voila!
  • A new free RSS Reader has been released "WinRead". This has excelent User Interface. Looks cool on the HTC Diamond. This RSS Reader allows you to paste the Feed URL, and there is search feature. Download WinRead for free from Handango.
