Windows Phone Apps

Today owners of the iPhone, had something new from Instagram. Layout is the popular photo sharing service's take on the collage, allowing you to group together a bunch of your favorite images and share them with your friends and the wider world on your favorite sharing service. And it came a day over one full year since the last update to the Instagram app for Windows Phone.

While that's a pretty bad state of affairs, it's at least one we can do something about.

A few weeks ago, Chase seemed to have taken a less-extreme position than Bank of America over its discontinuation of their banking app, announced in January. The massive bank told users that they could continue using the app 'until further notice'.

The implication at the time (and this all it was) was that if you had the Chase banking app on your phone it would still work into the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, this is not the case. According to reader reports, the app is completely non-functional as of today.

Diorama is a relatively new Windows Phone photography app that hopes to appeal to your need for quick and simple solutions. The app creates a tilt shift effect to your images by blurring portions of the top and bottom areas of a photograph. The result can make the images of large images look more like model dioramas

The Windows Phone app also has the ability to adjust an image's color saturation and has an in-house camera app to capture new images to use with the tilt shift effect. In tinkering with Diorama over the past few days, while there is room for improvement, the app comes across as a simple and quick way to create unique photos.
