St. Louis Windows Phone Development Workshop with Nokia (Reminder)

St. Louis Windows Phone Development Workshop

Here's a quick reminder for the June 22, 2012 St. Louis Windows Phone Development Workshop. Nokia Developer Ambassador Rich Dunbar will be leading the workshop. If you're interested in developing for Windows Phone, it sounds like a great opportunity to network with other developers and get some help building your app.

The workshop will run from 5:30 p.m. until around 9:00 p.m. and will be held at the Microsoft Offices in St. Louis.

The goal of the workshop is to help developers get started on their first Windows Phone app. Nokia will be sponsoring the event and will provide pizza and beverages.  No guarantees but Nokia may also provide a few door prizes as well.  Attendees will need to bring their own laptop and have the necessary development tools installed. You can find a full list of the tools that you'll need here in the Windows Phone Central Forums discussion.

Registration is required (so enough pizza is ordered) for the workshop and you can find that easy process here at GroupSpaces.

St. Louis Windows Phone Development Workshop with Nokia (Reminder)

Tyrant, I am the organizer of the St. Louis Windows Phone Meetup.  If you want to do a Nokia event, you'll have to organize one yourself.  This developer workshop has been set up just between myself and Rich Dunbar, the Nokia Dev Ambassador.  It's not organized by Nokia HQ itself, heck we couldn't even get Nokia to donate a couple of phones to the event!  However, Nokia is being very kind in that they are buying our food and drinks.  What I am saying is, if you want an event like this you're probably going to have to organize it yourself, like I did.

Galaxy S3 is promising a lot. If wp. doesn't make any hard improvements Android will be hard to get beat. And the most important are the customers are moving to Android...

I just smoked my friend and his newly GS3 with a 199€ Omnia W and Turbo Camera :D :D
Ben would be proud once again ;)

Actually, the STL meetup is open to developers and enthusiasts alike. The laptop thing is not a requirement, just suggested, as the meetup is focused on developing.
Please update the article to reflect this.

Correct, it is open to anyone and everyone.  Developer and WP7 enthusiast.  Come on out!  I have a Samsung Focus Flash to give away.  You are not required to be a developer to win it.

Wow, it's rare that I hear about things like this coming to St. Louis. If I wasn't working that day, I would definitely make it! Hopefully I'll be able to attend the next meetup.
I also didn't know that Microsoft had offices in STL. Nice to know!

Well, it's not just this event for Windows Phone.  We've had monthly meetups since April.  There will be more.
