The best Flickr app for Windows 10 and Mobile is just Perfect

It's no secret that Microsoft's mobile ambitions are often hampered by the lack of official apps. Photo sharing site Flickr dropped support for Windows Phone back in 2014 and since then we have had a few good alternatives.

A new third-party Flickr app has hit the Store recently built for Windows 10 and Mobile. Perfect Flicker is from the developer Perfect Thumb, and it is, in my opinion, an outstanding contribution to the platform.

Perfect Flicker does everything you would want from an official Flickr app including having a gorgeous design, fluid animation, and tons of features, including:

  • Put your free 1000GB to work - upload all your photos and videos to your Flickr
  • Engage with friends, family and explore the Flickr community - there are millions of groups and billions of photos out there to discover.
  • Watch mini thumbnail while browse others.
  • Sign in your Flickr account and manage your photostream, albums, favorites, groups, contacts...
  • Pin profile, albums, groups to startscreen.
  • View, share and post comments to a photo.
  • View camera info, albums and photo tags.
  • Download photo and set background / lockscreen.
  • Browse and join group.
  • Follow / Unfollow people.
  • Upload photos from your camera roll to Flickr automatically.

In my hands-on video above you can see the app in action and it is quite impressive. It runs just as well on Windows 10 Mobile bringing the full Flickr experience to all your devices.

Perfect Flicker was just updated twice this week with fixes and even more features e.g. quality of the images to download, auto-upload album selection, white theme and more. Even better is the app is currently free as far as I can tell.

Perfect Flicker

Yahoo! and Flickr may have missed the mobile photo craze that Instagram is still enjoying, but I have to admit that this makes me rethink using Flickr again. I used to put many of my DSLR photos on the site years ago, and I may have to revisit doing that again for mobile too.

Grab the app, let me know what you think in comments and make sure you leave a review for Perfect Flicker if you liked it!
