Stay indoors, Spartan. That's an order!

What you need to know
- 343 Industries has enabled Double XP in Halo: The Master Chief Collection and in Halo 5: Guardians.
- As of now, this Double XP event lasts indefinitely.
- Players can also get Arena and Warzone XP Boost Packs in Halo 5 by logging in weekly.
Halo developer 343 Industries announced on Twitter that both Halo: The Master Chief Collection (MCC) and Halo 5: Guardians have had Double XP enabled indefinitely for all game modes. The Tweet states that the Double XP is "to help make your time inside a little more enjoyable," indicating that the event is in response to the self-quarantine procedures being practiced by the global population during the outbreak of the coronavirus, also known as COVID-19.
To help make your time inside a little more enjoyable, we've turned on Double XP globally for MCC and Halo 5. Additionally, logging in to Halo 5 will also earn you free Arena and Warzone XP Boost Packs weekly. Please remember to wash your hands and keep it clean. pic.twitter.com/CDekx8aETjTo help make your time inside a little more enjoyable, we've turned on Double XP globally for MCC and Halo 5. Additionally, players can also get an Arena and Warzone XP Boost Pack by logging into Halo 5: Guardians once a week, further adding to the amount of experience they'll get by completing matches.
I think it's really cool that 343 Industries has enabled global Double XP right now given how so many people are trapped inside with nothing to do. Hopefully this Double XP event will help some Halo fans get unlocks they've been grinding for.
Halo: MCC is available now on Xbox One and PC for $30 or $40 depending on the platform you choose, while Halo 5: Guardians is available on Xbox One for $20.

Terrific to know
-
Actually surprised that MS and Sony haven't thought about trying to win hearts and minds more. Could have been raining freebies.

Double XP and free weekly legendary Arena XP and Warzone XP REQ packs in Halo 5 is awesome. I wonder how long they'll keep it up. They need to bring back original Team Arena, or, at the very least, make Core Play a permanent playlist.
