InstaPic updated for Windows 10 with support for Instagram stories

InstaPic, a popular third-party Instagram app for PC, has been updated for Windows 10 and now includes support for Instagram stories. The latest update comes in at version 5.1.0 and also brings a number of bug fixes, the ability to see who liked photos and more.

Here's the official breakdown of what's new in InstaPic 5.1.0:

  • View Instagram Stories
  • View photo likers.
  • Live Tiles
  • Bug fixes - Fixed issues with same photo being uploaded and saving images.

The big highlight here is support for Instagram stories. For those unfamiliar, Stories are essentially Instagram's take on Snapchat's feature of the same name, allowing you to post photos and short videos that disappear after 24 hours.

Interested? If so, you can check out the latest update to InstaPic by giving it a download at the Windows Store. Also be sure to let us know what you think in the comments!

Thanks, Mark, for the tip!

  • Used to use this app on surface but stopped because it wasn't that good ... Uninstalled it a while ago. Glad to see it updated. Will try it out again
  • Yeah, saw some of the reviews, but running it his morning I had no obvious issues (just doesn't scale well when not full-windowed).
  • I just downloaded InstaPic, tried to log in and get the error message "Your version of Instagram is out of date. Please upgrade your app to log in to Instagram." I don't know if this happens to others as of late?
  • Got it too. anyway to fix it:?
  • Where is instagram with their instagram stories? Still waiting.........
  • Or the 6tag UWP client...with support for stories...
  • It has support for stories, or are you saying that you are waiting for this? I want to make sure that I understand.
  • Ah good, you got my tweet then Daniel.
  • This app was pretty nice then it stop working. I couldn't login. I guess I'll try it again later.
  • Yeah same problem here. I last tried it in 2013 and was using it until uploads kept failing. I thought it was IG blocking the app specifically, so I dropped it. Guess I'll try again as uploading IG pics from a phone - or doing anything on a phone for that matter - is a major PITA.
  • Good app, downloading of images isn't even possible on the official Android app so this is very good Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • Last time I used this app nothin would load, gladly give it another go since it's updated
  • yeah but is this a UWP app? will it scale and work just fine on my phone?
  • Not available on Mobile, just checked.
  • I installed it recently to upload photos from my PC, seemed not a bad app at all
  • Have always used this app and was glad to see a few weeks ago (after not opening it for a long time) that it was updated. Stories are really welcomed esp since the windows 10 mobile official instragram doesnt have it yet
  • I had this app installed together with another, neither were perfect. The other one seemingly died l, and I have to say I'm pretty happy with what I saw in yesterday's update. The stories are a great addition too.
Now I only worry that my mobile champion 6tag has been left behind. That's truly a shame.
  • PC only?
  • Stories not working in my PC, all photos and videos seems black.
  • Doesn't work on mobile? Ok.
  • Yeah nice software but we can use InstaPro with Windows
  • If you want to use this alternative Instagram software on your PC, you can check this link: We can use this program all Windows versions, so we don't need Windows 10 And stories will be coming as soon as, he wrote his twitter account:
