Kendrick Lamar – To Pimp a Butterfly

Kendrick Lamar

After the huge success that followed Kendrick's sophomore record, Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City, everyone has been anticipating his next album. Earlier this week, Kendrick surprisingly dropped To Pimp a Butterfly without anyone knowing it was going to drop. The album is full of jazz and funk rhythms with Kendrick's artistic lyrics molding it all together.

If you want to get a good feel of the album check out the song Alright and even Mortal Men. [hip-hop]

Of Monsters and Men – Crystals

Of Monsters and Men have finally released their first single Crystals since their release of the critically-acclaimed album My Head is an Animal. The song is from their upcoming album titled Beneath the Skin. If you liked previous songs from them such as Little Talks or King and Lionheart you will definitely appreciate the sound of Crystals.

Interstellar

Christopher Nolan does it again, with what is easily one of my favorite films of 2014. The earth has been consumed by global warming and has become uninhabitable with corn being the only produce that is still alive. This is where Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway step in as they take on the stars to find humanities last hope.

Empire

Since it first started, Empire has been the talk of the town. This show follows a prominent music label as they find out its CEO has a terminal illness. The CEO's three sons and ex-wife are all fighting to become the successor of his throne. This week the show made waves with its two-hour finale that was filled with twists and turns. If you missed it you can grab it on Xbox Video.

  • That album cover's selfie must have been taken using a Lumia
  • I've been waiting for Interstellar. Might just wait a few more days and rent the blu-ray from Redbox. We'll see...
  • I thought red box is shutting down out is that only in Canada?

  • Incisive comment, thanks for sharing your thoughts.
  • We really don't care.. Thanks!
  • why not listen tl Kendrick? Fuck you too!
  • Wow taking angry tones because of that?
  • Didn't care for the album. The production was too boring for me. The lyrics were amazing though.
  • Its like a poor man's born sinner
  • I like 2014 Forrest Hills Drive alot better than Born Sinner.
  • For me Born Sinner > Forest Hill Drive > To Pimp a Pupae
  • Haha! Nicer! What do you think of GKMC though?
  • +620
  • Wow, Of Monster and Man are back!!!!!!
  • All good choice's
  • You guys realize Modest Mouse came out with a new album, right?!
  • Interstellar was a masterpiece. I really don't know why critics didn't like it and it was also left out of oscars. It currently holds a 8.8 rating on imdb, which is incredibly high considering imdb standarts.
  • ... And with 500,000+ votes too already, all the more reason why I agree with you.
  • Really want to see that movie. Don't want to buy it though. I'll wait for Tuesday and rent.
  • These prices are outrageous.
  • Kendrick's album is awesome. Much better than GKMC.
  • You are a Kimye douchebag!   Who gives a fuck what u think!
  • *Kanye. I never really used Kim. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy remains the most critically acclaimed rap album of the 2010s. You can stay pressed and mad Sam 77.
  • Nope GKMC was better.. this is kinda boring.
  • Yep Kendrick Lamar was by far better.
  • GKMC is a classic. This album was made from, for him. Its a personal album. Very boring album! How much a dollar cost is the best song on the album though. To me anyway.
  • Yes yes yes, that's wat I've been telling everybody
  • Wasn't the greatest movie I've seen, but wasn't the worst either
  • Kendrick Lamar's album has been on Xbox music for a week now... Dropped the same day as iTunes and Spotify... Sadly, no one reported it... It's a great album... Production and lyrics are stellar... Or should I say Interstellar!
  • Production was good but so boring.. Almost all of the songs was the same..
Can't wait for Yelawolf - Love Story
  • Waiting for Kanye!
  • Sounds like a good movie
  • I'm very impressed with this album. Those who call it boring I suspect have this expectation that it should sound like good kid maad city. The sign of a good artist is to not carbon copy their previous work. This album requires your attention to the full 80 minutes. I think people want to hear synthetic beats all over the album to grab their attention. I prefer and welcome the live instrumentation this album is produced with and its funk origins. Plus you can't deny it lyrically in anyway. It gets better to me everytime I listen to it the way ATLiens did for me with Outkast.
  • Exactly what I'm saying. This album is not the background music type album. It demands full attention. It's really a great album. GKMC was really good but this one's great.
  • I didn't expect another GKMC but I didn't expect what I heard from TPAB. I loved the lyrics but the overall production didn't grab me. However, How Much A Dollar Cost is the best song. Simply beautiful and deep song.
  • And MUCH MUCH RESPECT I'm an OutKast Stan! Lol
  • Interstellar, the best movie I have ever seen in my life!
  • Nice..will give it a ear
  • Interstellar is the best movie I've seen in years, I really recommend it to you guys who havent seen it yet! :)
  • Already downloaded Interstellar with the Torrex app from the Windows Store, and all you have to do is how to pirate bay and hit download...but be kind and seed the movie with everyone who so they can download it too.
