Marriott International now a universal app for Windows 10 PCs, tablets, and phones

Marriott International has updated its app, making it a universal app for Windows 10 on PCs, tablets, and phones. The app allows you to easily check-in and check-out of hotels, enroll in Marriott's Rewards program, and more. Marriott now also features Cortana integration.

This is what Marriott has to say about its latest app update:

In our first 2016 release, we're excited to launch the upgrade of Windows 10 for smartphone, tablet and desktop. Also, we've integrated our app with Cortana and People Hub to make travel easier!

You can grab Marriott International from the Windows Store now.

  • Damn this app is nice
  • It's raining apps!!
  • Regularly updating the app and adding more features to it is more important than just releasing an app. There are many WP apps that have not been updated for years.
  • True but WP and Win10m are two entirely different games ..hopefully the more apps arrive, the more users Win10m gets resulting in more frequent updates. Worst case scenario, if PC/tablet users are using these apps, they will get updated for all devices since they are UWA's.
  • Negative already. That's the spirit.
  • yeah! more apps on Windows 10 Posted via Universal Windows App on W10
  • Raining (UWP) apps...
  • Keep 'em coming ! Sent from DOS
  • JW Marriot? .-.
  • I wonder if this means Marriot is doing better than Hilton who gave an odd excuse for pulling their app.
  • I don't know, but for those who pull their WP apps or don't make one, they can go stuck an egg! Posted via Windows Central app for Windows 10!
    Proudly rocking my Lumia 1520!
  • Hilton only pulled their useless, old Windows 8.x app. The useful phone app is still there and just was updated this week.
  • I believe they pulled the tablet apps specifically.
  • People hub integration? What do they mean by that?
  • I don't know, but maybe you can share the cost with someone? like your affair/ Lover/ Bro...
  • With Windows 10 Mobile, in your Address book (People app), you have integrations of different services now. This was something Windows Central mentioned in an article earlier, very recently. Unfortunately I do not have a link to the article.
  • NIce app, but Marriott has to figure out what to do when somebody uses an app to check in. A month ago I checked in, but I still had to stand in line at the hotel and show my credit card which was then swiped through the machine. Finally the person working the desk programmed 2 keys for me and put them in the folder. That took pretty much the same amount of time as if had not done a check in trhough the app.
  • Well yeah, but at least you were sure they had the room you wanted.
  • You expected to just walk into a room and jump in bed... whether it's occupied or not?
  • No, but part of the reason for on line check in is to avoid the line and speed up the process. In this case I had to stand in the same line and effectively go through the same process as if I had not yet checked in. The part they are missing is a way to deliver the key automatically so that I can take it and go - perhaps a way for me to swipe my card and have key automatically dispensed.
  • Downloaded even though I'll only use this 1-3 times a year. Just appreciative that they made this app universal and it's works on windows 10 mobile. Posted via Windows Central app for Windows 10!

  • Same here. I'll have my wife download it as well. I'm glad to see the support.
  • i downloaded even tho ill never use it haha
  • Yes, this is what UWP is all about!!   And yes, keep 'em coming....
  • The Marriot app and Tinder is all I need for travelling good times!
  • Mariott and tinder.. Hmm ;)
  • ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
  • Haha
  • Yeah buddy
  • I wonder if this will work for JW Marriott hotels in India.
  • Apparently, I can't edit my original comment from the W10M app. Anyway, the app description me find 70 countries and does include JW Marriott! So, I guess it will work. Keep 'em UWP apps coming! ^_^
  • you didn't know that it was mentioned when the app launched
  • Badass
  • Awesome to see there are still companies who are willing to support Windows apps. More companies should take note.
  • Little by little they are trickling in. Another large firm that understands the potential of universal apps. Cheers.
  • Awesome news. WTG Marriott.
  • Nice, though I don't travel ever, so I can't test it out. I'll just do a quick install to tip my cap for its presence on the platform.
  • Why don't you let us tip or cap for ourselves?! Always stating your opinions as facts!! I'm kidding of course. I went back and read what I typed during happy hour on that other post and realized I totally misunderstood you. So just saying I'm sorry Keith Wallace.
  • Now they have to get mobile only app devs to make UWP apps. I guess the pitch will be tablet(including 2in1) & phone deployment, maybe Xbox one also. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • Little by little they are either coming back or newly arriving...Yeah.
  • Very well done. Will make traveling much easier. Look forward to applications like this that make the most of Cortana.
  • They've had a nice functional app for a while. Nice to see the update. Another reason to keep booking with them. I love Marriott's!
  • Accesses Contacts.  Sorry, no install.
  • i want to know what does it actually do with contacts,,, it says people hub integration :? but what is it?
  • I used to work for Marriott National Accounts - Good to see my old employer on board with Windows 10! :)
  • If I see Cortana mentioned I know not to download said app. Why? Because 2 years on and Cortana is still not available.
  • 8.1 is also a supported platform for this app
  • OK Air Canada it is your turn. Both United and Lufthansa have apps.
