Meteor Mobile Ireland reportedly getting Nokia Lumia 635 sporting LTE

If you’re in Ireland, your choices for Windows Phones may be limited if you shop through your carrier. Luckily, Meteor Mobile is set to get the recently announced Nokia Lumia 635. No pricing or date has been given, but the news was confirmed through the site Nokia News Ireland.

As a refresh, the Lumia 635 is the same phone as the Lumia 630, which we recently unboxed. The main difference is the radios, as the Lumia 635 has 4G LTE on board for a little extra oomph. Otherwise you get a 4.5-inch IPS display with a 854 x 480 (on-screen keys), Windows Phone 8.1, 512 MB of RAM, 8 GB of storage (micro SD expansion) and a Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor running at 1.2 GHz.

We’ll keep an ear out for any more information for the Lumia 635 on this carrier and others!

  • Sounds great..
  • Weird names for Telecommunication
  • Their services probably crashes and burn...
  • It's a terrible network, my bird is on it and all I hear all day is "hello can you hear me" lol, it should be called the dropped call network lol
  • Good stuff but meteor is shocking were I am in Dublin, will see what Vodafone brings out in the coming weeks so I can buy a beast with 8.1 preinstalled !!
  • It has on-screen buttons so WP 8.1 will be preinstalled.
  • I know it will, I meant meteor isn't an option for me, so I'll wait for Vodafone and get one on their network with 8.1 preinstalled, will go higher end though!
  • I think Vodafone will get this phone and their network is just perfect (signal everywhere), can i ask 1 thing...have you got Vodafone CU in Ireland ?
  • What's CU ??
  • Take a look here it's cheaper and more flexible.
  • I am waiting for 630 dual SIM in UK, as my second phone. But I don't think it is going to be available here. I might have to import from other country :(
  • I'm pretty sure all three recently-announced phones (630/5, 930) will be available in UK as there is a country specific page for each with a coming soon badge under the offers layer.
  • Yah, I read that as well, but unfortunately it is only single sim version of 630, not dual sim which is I am after :(
  • That 512mb ram is so disappointing.
  • Cuz you can't run 1% of the apps,
  • Come at me bro, I can't play any of the good games on my 520, Maybe Minion rush is the only decent thing out there and it lags and crashes.
  • Here I play Asphalt 8 without lags on my 720.
Is fault of Developer and not of WP/Nokia/MS
  • Why keep making phones with 512MB of RAM? Can it really be that much cheaper... Especially with the number of apps and games that don't support it... Dunno man...
  • There are only 1% of the apps that they don't support devices with 512mb of ram.
  • Gz Ireland
  • I love meteor. I've been worth them since 2009. They have 3G all over Ennis. And whenever I go to Limerick or other big cities I get great 4G connectivity. Have the 1020 and waiting for the 1030 to be announced
  • Their 4G/LTE service is actuall not all that great in and around Dublin. I had a huge fight with the them over this and was eventually fully refunded for over four months of non-service.. Took a lot of up and down mails, calls, FB and forum threads/threats but I got it.   I am currently using a 630 Dual SIM on 3 H+ as second driver next to my 1020(on Vodafone 4GLTE) and it's a great little phone really!
