New Halo 5: Guardians trailer leaks ahead of planned Oct. 4 reveal

The Halo team took to the game's official Twitter account today to tease a new Halo 5: Guardians trailer due to premier during Sunday's airing of Fear The Walking Dead. However, it looks like that trailer has leaked out a little early, and calls into question where we left off with Master Chief in the last trailer.

You'll remember that the last, live-action trailer led us to believe that the Master Chief was dead, having succumbed to his fate on October 27 (hey, that date sounds familiar…) of 2560. The leaked trailer seen above, however, seems to indicate that Master Chief's death was a farce, and we'll be hunting him down in some capacity, at least at the start of Halo 5: Guardians.

We're unsure how long the above trailer will stick around before Microsoft pulls it, so it'd be best to watch now if you can. Meanwhile, you can go ahead and pre-order Halo 5: Guardians from the links below if you haven't yet already.

  • I literally c**med
  • I mean.... ITS AMAZING
    CANT F**** WAIT
  • Enough of these "leaks." I'm not watching any more.
  • I don't want to play as Locke. The point of Halo is centered around Master Chief. Screw Locke, bring back Arbiter!
  • Then don't play. Let your hot mom play as Locke
  • You'll play as both from what I understand. Both story's will meet. Likely as Locke first. Then the true story with Chief. They battle it out then become partners to take down the true enemy in halo 6 (just a guess)
  • I really can't wait to figure out what's going on in this game!! So hyped!
  • What is Halo?
  • Gay post
  • Complete rubbish of a post.
  • "but when he's killing civilizans" For those of you who don't listen to the #huntthetruth podcasts, Chief didn't actually kill civilizans. There was a point where Chief was protecting civilians from a terrorist group (I think they were called the anti-alien group or something like that), but ONI edited it to make it look like Chief was killing civilians, so they could have a "reason" to send Locke after him. Btw, check the forums, the ending for Halo 5 leaked.
  • Sapien Sunrise... Honestly the UEG and the outer colonies need to reach an accord. How could they possibly act as though things will always be the same? They've gotten big enough where it needs to become much larger than they are...it's gonna require some reorganization. ONI had gotten much too devious also =/
