Nokia Lumia 610 getting new software update to make it better, faster

"We can update him...we have the technology."

With all the hype centered on the next-generation of Windows Phones, let us not forget that there are large percentages of people who are still on older hardware and plan to stay there.

The Lumia 610, arguably one of the most low-cost Windows Phone on the market that also maintains a premium feel to it, is slated to get an update in the coming weeks. (No, it's not Windows Phone 7.8.)

Specifics are lacking on the update but we do know that it will deliver “improved system performance, camera performance, and usability”. That sounds mighty fine to our ears and we’ll keep a lookout for when that update starts to roll out.
