Tastecard app gets pulled, re-submitted to the Windows Phone Store

It was only two days ago when we previously covered tastecard for Windows Phone, but the app was pulled from the platform due to an unknown issue. Luckily, tastecard is now once again available on the Windows Phone store to provide UK users with enticing offers.

The only problem for those who already downloaded the app is you'll need to remove the old version and download this new listing. There'll be no update available for your phone since this is an entirely new app listing. To serve as a friendly reminder, the deals app sports the following:

  • Show your digital tastecard on your mobile – no need for plastic
  • Find restaurants near your current location & see the route
  • View photos, menus, info & reviews
  • Add to favourites for future reference
  • Track savings in your digital wallet
  • Discounts on hotels, fine dining, days out & entertainment

Hopefully, this one should be final and we'll be good to go for future updates.

  • Strange, what type of issues can't be fixed through an update?
  • It said new listing, maybe a whole new app code! Or new app!
  • Day is not far away when we will see application and games being published in store and within in moments it gets unpublished.
  • ... then re-published. Is that sarcasm? If not, at least, read the title.
  • This app destroyed my phone earlier this week, my 1020 went nuts and needed a factory reset! I'll wait for others to try the new version of the app first!!
  • The exact same thing happened to my 920
  • Yes, this app seems to have trashed my 1520 as well. Factory reset was needed.
  • Was going to get app first time round for my 930 but then held off when I read here someone with an Icon had theirs messed up. When I saw the app then not being available I guessed tastecard pulled it due to a problem. Well done for acting quickly before trashing too many phones.
  • Oops, just downloaded it but should I open it?
  • Works perfectly on the 930 :-)
  • If you have to sign up for a digital taste card, the only two options are to use their ios or android app for verification! Why make a very nice looking WP then not support it?
  • + every time I go to sign up it says I've already had a trial - I've never had a trial, and I've tried using various email addresses but still not working :/
  • I registered mine on the first app. Unstalled it. Installed this new version, not it says my card is registered on another device. They have totally screwed this up.
  • I'm getting the same error too.
  • As am I, forgot I registered at first. Was hoping to use this on a trip to London in a couple of days but perhaps not!
  • I couldn't log into my account it kept on informing me that I had not registered the card.
  • @SamjHannah, Welcome to the world of Windows Phone Updates, where the fixed is broken!
