Team ChevronWP7 in full effect at MIX11

Wearing their gifted shirts from Microsoft (Brandon Watson confirms only 5 exist), the ChevronWP7 team is in force at MIX11 this week, blogging, covering the event and meeting with whose who in the Windows Phone world. And we must say, they're all stand up guys. So we had to grab this photo, because why not? From left to right: Chris Walsh (@chriswalshie, site), Raphael Rivera (@WithinRafael, site) and Long Zheng (@longzheng, site).

For those who don't remember, these were the folks to first jailbreak WP7, were invited to Redmond for some "talks" with Microsoft and have since continued being a creative thorn in Brandon Watson's side. Will we see more from them on the Windows Phone front? We'd bet on it..

  • These guys will become folk heroes to the future WP7 fanboy army :D
  • add in brandon foy, hero for advertising
  • iphone dev team and saurik never sold out. lame hackers are lame
  • How'd ChevronWP7 sell out? Chris Walsh just released a tool that forced NoDo on our phones (and made MS a bit upset). They're still doing what they're doing, so either substantiate your claims or get out...
  • the iphone dev team, saurik and many others created an ecosystem for installing packages. The one that is still used today is called Cydia you might have heard of it.The whole point of jailbreaking a device is allowing users to install homebrew applications. They could have created something great like Cydia instead at the first request of MS they bow down.If you don't know what Cydia has done for the iphone community we can quietly end here.
  • I use Cydia on my iPad...thanks for pointing it out though. They did the jailbreaking and now you want them to go and create a whole homebrew store? Why don't *you* do something? And they "bow down"? What the **** are you talking about? Microsoft treats them well instead of ignoring or suing them--they invited the team out to Redmond to hear their concerns. And what, pray tell, does any of that have to with "selling out"? They haven't received a dime for their work, which you just trash away in comments.
  • If I could help wp7 users and create a homebrew marketplace for them I would and maybe one day I will. I never trashed their work, i thought they were going in the right direction until they stopped.I will try my best to fight for you the user who deserves options and freedom.
  • sometimes we need a tron........someone who fights for the users
