What GPUs work with NVIDIA Broadcast?
Every GPU that supports NVIDIA Broadcast
NVIDIA Broadcast is built on top of the RTX Broadcast engine, which NVIDIA announced in 2019. It is designed to leverage the raw power that the NVIDIA's RTX GPUs bring to the table and is therefore exclusive to the RTX-branded GPUs. The following GPUs support broadcast:
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090
- NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000
- NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000
- NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000
- NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000
- NVIDIA Quadro RTX 8000
- NVIDIA TITAN RTX
Supported GPUs also include all variants of these cards, including Ti, SUPER, and Max-Q versions. Additionally, NVIDIA Broadcast system requirements include 8 GB or higher RAM and have at least an Intel Core i5 8600, AMD Ryzen r5 2600, or better CPU. NVIDIA Broadcast doesn't support its non-RTX range of GPUs.
If you have a GTX GPU, you can use the noise removal functionality from Broadcast in its beta form, with the NVIDIA RTX Voice plugin. Unfortunately, there is no such workaround for the video enhancements.
Note: NVIDIA RTX 30 Series GPUs and AMD RX 6000 Series GPUs are in very limited supply as of now and constantly going out of stock.
Why use NVIDIA Broadcast?
NVIDIA Broadcast is an app for Windows 10 that uses AI and RTX GPUs' power to enhance the voice and video to enrich your live streams, voice chats, and video conference calls. It can remove the background noise in your audio, add a virtual background, and track movement in your video.
Broadcast is a nifty little feature addition for the RTX GPUs, which are already some of the best GPUs on the market. It will offer enough functionality to eliminate the need to buy additional equipment to get better video and audio quality for most people. If you have an NVIDIA RTX GPU, you should absolutely be using Broadcast for your audio and video recording, calling, and streaming needs.
Hop on the RTX train
NVIDIA RTX GPUs are already a great value if you need raw graphical performance, and NVIDIA Broadcast further adds to that value. The app works quite well, and if you're planning on building a PC, it should definitely count as a con towards your RTX GPU purchase. It's not a selling point per se, but a great functionality to have regardless.
Bang for buck
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 is the best value you can get in an RTX GPU right now, without spending too much. A great pick for most folks and certainly a worthy GPU to use with NVIDIA Broadcast.
Max it out
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 is the beefiest consumer RTX GPU money can buy right now. If your budget isn't holding you back, you should absolutely pick this one up. The raw power should be enough to handle anything you throw at it, including NVIDIA Broadcast.
On the cheap
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is the cheapest RTX GPU you can find right now. It's quite a value for money offering and should be able to handle NVIDIA Broadcast perfectly well.
