Facebook Messenger update lets you talk to non-friends, add drawings to your pics

The Facebook Messenger app has just received a pretty big update, allowing you to message anyone whether or not they are friends with you on the social network by sending them a text from within the app.

You can also draw and annotate photos and pictures from your camera roll before sending them to friends.

Here's the full changelog for version 9.0 of the update:

  • Improvements to make the app faster
  • Now you can message people even if you're not Facebook friends
  • Tap People to sync your phone contacts
  • Enter Anyone's phone number to start texting them from the app
  • Add colorful drawings and text to photos from your camera roll before you send them

Overall a solid update.
