Should you be on Windows Phone 8, the team has confirmed on Facebook that a version is well on the way. Good news should you be eagerly awaiting the turn-by-turn navigation solution.

We'll keep our eyes open for details the company releases in the future. Be sure to read our previous coverage to see if the socially enhanced navigation suite is for you.

NAVITEL working on Windows Phone 8 version of its navigation solution

I see this as good news that they've went for separate versions because that means we should get a HD 720p app correct?

I live in Australia and Nokia maps have failed me everytime for live navigation around cbd areas but are fine outside of that so I'd like another navigation option. I wish Tom Tom would make a nav app for WP

I can't wait for Rich to start following up with companies who release WP8 only apps about when they're going to release 7.x versions, because you know, only half of the user base is on 7.x.

It looks good but it'll have to be good to make me replace Nokia maps on my L920. Not just good, I mean really good. Moreover, if it can't be an integrated solution, its already got one foot on a banana peel. So it has to be really good.

It is realy good news for people from little towns of Russia.  Nokia maps are terrible there. On the other hand, it is freedom from Lumia for all WP fans. Navitel is real alternative solution for navigation in big sity
