Aeries once again available in the Windows Store

The Aeries universal Twitter app is now available once again from the Windows Store. Aeries originally received the universal treatment, along with a boatload of new features and tweaks, a day ago. However, the developer temporarily pulled the app after running into some token issues with Twitter. To recap, here's what's new in Aeries version 2:

  • Universal Windows Platform (Desktop!)
  • Streaming realtime updates over WiFi
  • Sunset mode automatically switching themes
  • Direct message image support and unlimited character count
  • Advanced filters for users, keywords and clients
  • Rewritten for massive performance and stability improvements
  • New design for Windows 10
  • Custom options to bookmark tweets for later
  • Translate tweets
  • Completely customizable gestures and appearance
  • New user profile design
  • Improved background tasks
  • Manage your timelines in sections
  • Unlimited user accounts

As we noted before, it's great to see this popular app make the universal transition, and it indeed looks great on desktop PCs. Be sure to hit up the Windows Store link below to grab the app for desktop, and let us know what you think in the comments!

Thanks, Dustin, for the tip!

  • There some tome issue with twitter
I.hope that has been fixed for the mobile version..
  • Looks great on mobile, desktop UI needs some optimizing.
  • Outlook mail on my phone just got updated
  • Does Aeries happen to support Tweet Marker?
  • Does the notifications work? The official's don't
  • Yeah they work. But so does twitters' app for me.
  • Does anyone know how this compares to tweetium?
  • For me, personally, I think it's a better app for mobile phones. It looks like Tweetium is a better app for PCs like Surface 3, or devices with a bigger touch screen and mouse and keyboard. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • I tried tweetium for a while.....Aeries hands down blows it away.... at least in my book... I tried about 5-6 Twitter apps, and Aeries is the only one that I really liked and did what I wanted and much more..
  • I switched to win mobile 10 insider program just to use the updated Aeries.
  • Grabbing the update right now, and I am gonna make it my default Twitter app on my phone. Posted via the Windows Central App for Android
  • Just bought this app... gotta support the developers who support us!
  • I agree with You,we need to support them, more over some are doing Great job
  • Aeries or tweetium??vivwanna buy one of them!
  • I really like Aeries. I've been using it for a while and the UWP upgrade has made it noticeably better. I have tweaked the gesture controls to my liking and set the theme to "dark" (not "black") and now it's perfect.
  • I like the UI,but on low bandwidth like here in Africa,Aeries have alot of bugs. For that i prefer Tweetium.Again Aeries' design it's Just perfect.
  • Trial?? I cant decide between aeries and tweetium .
