Bungie plans to release new franchises by 2025
There's a lot more coming!
What you need to know
- Destiny 2 is a first-person shooter from Bungie.
- The game is switching up its business model going forward.
- Bungie plans to release other franchises by 2025.
- You can purchase Destiny 2: Shadowkeep through the Microsoft Store.
Destiny 2 is a first-person shooter from Bungie that is still incredibly popular after all this time. The game is about to get a new expansion called Shadowkeep, and pre-loading is now live on Xbox One.
While Shadowkeep has plenty of gamers excited, many want to know what the future holds for Bungie. IGN managed to sit down with Bungie CEO Pete Parsons to discuss just that. Parsons said that by 2025, he hopes the team will have a number of different franchises on the market.
It's unclear if the new games will also be first-person shooters, but given the pedigree of the company, it's a safe bet. Only time will tell what comes out of the talented studio. We're definitely excited!
A new chapter
Nightmares are coming
With the release of the Shadowkeep expansion, Destiny 2 starts a brand new chapter separate from Activision. This edition has a year's worth of content, too.
