Based on previous teasers, The Evil Within 2 was already shaping up to be among the creepier titles hitting the gaming world this year. But its latest trailer, featuring the self-appointed overlord of this new world, Father Theodore, ups the creep vibes.
Father Theodore hasn't been seen much thus far, but Bethesda says that he will serve as one of the main antagonists of The Evil Within 2. He plays the part of a master manipulator with all the panache of a cult leader. But while Theodore himself will give some the willies, it's his flamethrower-wielding disciple — complete with some sort of breathing mask melted into his burnt flesh — that will be the real test of intestinal fortitude.
The Evil Within 2 is expected to launch on Ovtober 13, and it's up for preorder now for $59.99. If you're mulling the game over, be sure to check out our hands-on preview of the game, where we tested The Evil Within 2 in all of its horrific glory.
